My coworker obtained this vendor via Angie's List. As noted by another person posting, my coworker actually worked with an individual named Mr. Ivan Sabino/Ivan Savino/Ivan Savino-Rodrigez. However, after negotiating a price the individual asked that the check be made out to Mr. Francisco Ortiz. Ivan also provided a card to my coworker that provided the name of the Company as "BEMN LLC" and had a telephone number written on it. A price was agreed upon and my coworker paid Ivan for a portion of the total agreed price. Several attempts were made to schedule Ivan to perform the work. At one point Ivan asked for an additional partial payment of $500 (in cash) to supposedly pay for a load of material to be delivered to the work site. My coworker paid the money but no materials were delivered. Subsequent calls to the telephone number from Ivan were either not answered at all or were answered by a female who would then hang up the phone. This continued for several weeks. Unfortunately, my coworker was having to focus on the care of a close family member who was terminally ill (and subsequently passed away) and did not pursue the issue at the time. The original check that was written out to Mr. Francisco Ortiz was cashed at a local convenience store based on the endorsements on the check. An additional telephone number of 936.730.7219 was added to the check when it was deposited/cashed. This number has also gone unanswered when called. My coworker has returned from the family matter and is now seeking a refund of the full amount that was paid. In April, it was discovered that Mr. Ivan had been arrested for DUI on 22 March in Montgomery County, TX and was in jail. The jailer informed me that upon release by the County, Mr. Ivan would be placed into custody by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security and that it appeared that deportation proceedings would (or have) occur. Mr. Ivan and Mr. Ortiz and Bemn LLC have neither performed the work nor refunded the money. My view is that all three parties are jointly liable and that others should watch out for these unethical characters.

BUYER BEWARE!!! I gave a deposit to Ivan (full name SABINO-RODRIGEZ, IVAN) and Francisco Ortiz of Bemn LLC for a project that never got done. Last thing I heard, Ivan had been arrested for DWI on 03/22/2019 and was being held in Montgomery County Jail and was not being released.

My experience with Bemn LLC and Ivan Savino has shown them to untrustworthy and has left me wondering if he/they are mere fraudsters or horrible at business. EXERCISE CAUTION IN DEALING WITH THEM and if you proceed with retaining them, do not give them any money before they finish the work. A summary of my experience with them is as follows. February 23 - Initial Contract Date: I paid Bemn LLC (Ivan and his team) a deposit of $2,000 (addressed to Francisco Ortiz), and they assured me they would start work on February 25. February 24 - CANCELLATION - Bemn LLC (Ivan and his team) stated they can’t start on the 25th, but they would start on the 27th. However, they needed more money for materials due to the modification of our agreement. February 25 - I gave Bemn LLC (Ivan and his team) an additional $450. February 26 – Cancellation: Bemn LLC (Ivan and his team) did not want to start work on February 27 - Cancellation: Bemn LLC (Ivan and his team) canceled and rescheduled from February 28 at 7:30 a.m. They wanted $900 more to buy materials. February 28 – Reschedule: Bemn LLC (Ivan and his team) stated they will be at my home at 11:30 a.m. Bemn LLC (Ivan and his team) showed up at 2:45 p.m., dug a trench and left after I gave them $900 for materials with the promise that they would be back on March 1 to complete the work. March 1 - Cancellation: Bemn LLC (Ivan and his team) stated they can’t make it that day due to a family emergency in Dallas, but they will be there on Sunday, March 3 to complete the work. March 2 - Cancellation: Bemn LLC (Ivan and his team) simply did not show up. March 4 - Ivan is not even in Houston. According to Ivan’s text message, he will return on March 6. March 15, - Called the Sherriff's office regarding the status of the case. March 18 - With the help of I*****, Ivan’s sales representative at Porch, we were able to reach an agreement where Ivan would return $3,100 of $3,350 of my funds in four installments. Ivan, however, never bothered to countersign the agreement. My next recourse is to pursue a lawsuit against Ivan Savino, Francisco Ortiz, and Bemn LLC.
