BBB ACCREDITED Years in Business: 14 BBB Rating F Customer Reviews are not used in the calculation of BBB Rating Reasons for BBB Rating Alerts See What BBB Reports On Pattern of Complaint On July 2, 16, 31 and August 6, 2019, BBB attempted to contact SJR Contracting regarding a high volume and a pattern of serious complaints. During the past 36 months, BBB received 11 complaints regarding payments for work not performed or incomplete. The business failed to respond to seven complaints through BBB's complaint process. Complaints state the company collected deposits for work ranging from $6,250 to $89,000, with an average of $33,902. BBB notified SJR Contracting of these complaints and asked them for cooperation to eliminate the pattern. We asked for a written response outlining the steps it would take to avoid similar complaints in the future.  BBB also requested additional information, including: Federal Employer Identification number (EIN), the names and full contact information of the company's principal officers and management, copies of contracts, including if work is done by subcontractors and if customers are notified, the physical address of its principal office, copies of required competency and/or tradesman's licensing, and a completed BBB Standard Business Questionnaire. To date (August 6, 2019), the company responded that we need to reach out to an attorney handling this matter. We have not heard from SJR Contracting or an attorney. BBB is also unable to verify any contractor's or tradesman's licenses required for services such as stairlift installation. BBB urges consumers to use caution based on complaint activity and lack of responsiveness. Alert Better Business Bureau investigated this business, with the initial contact on July 2, 2019, with the following questions: licensing and bonding, where it does business, a list of all physical and remote locations, the company's EIN and affiliations with other businesses. The company did not respond to BBB.

SJR ENTERPRISES / Scott Driscoll is quite possibly one of the worst people I have ever met in business him and his convicted felon partner Bob Decker will most assuredly take tens of thousands of dollars and leave you hanging with no work or Worse damage to your property than before they even started these guys are fly-by-night shysters have no legitimate crew the people they hire are flunkies off of the street and have no knowledge of what they're doing when you try to contact mr. Scott Driscoll he has more excuses than I have ever heard from any single person in my life they are currently under investigation from the New York State Attorney General and the New York State Police they have ripped off over a dozen people 11 people on the Better Business Bureau with an average of $33,000 per complaint . You can Google Bob Decker arrest on YouTube to see the videos of him being sent to prison for his prior convictions for contractor fraud for which he was banned for life I'm being in business with did I mention that they are an F rated business with the Better Business Bureau and are NOT accredited with the BBB as they claim .
