Construction Innovations LLC

We had a terrible experience at multiple points throughout the building process with Construction Innovations. We are currently "finished" with the house, but only have a temporary certificate of occupancy. We have not had communication with Dave or Justin since February 7. We have a long list of things that need to be repaired, but now that we have paid, we cannot get these problems fixed. Construction Innovations has not honored our contract or home warranty. Unfortunately, we are going to have to take these problems to the legal level and involve outside contractors to testify their evaluations of the house. The quality of their work is well below average (via 3rd party contractor observations). Our tax appraisal even shows that the quality at our house is below the rest of the neighborhood. Throughout the building process, when we noticed problems, Dave and Justin would react emotionally and inform us that our expectations could not be met. Communication was not professional or efficient throughout. We requested receipts from purchases, but were denied access to this and told that other customers had never asked for something so unrealistic. They claim to have built houses for over 30 years, but have only been licensed since 2006. From my research, it appears they built boat docks and patios in 2006. The majority (85%) of the house was built by subcontractors. This would be acceptable if they were present on the job site, but we were told they would not be on site to reduce costs. The job site was rarely clean, and it was not clean when they left. All problems that were addressed (scratches on windows, missing door handles, missing window parts, etc.) were all blamed on someone else by Dave. Construction Innovations did not accept responsibility for any problems. Construction Innovations started out making mistakes, and each time, we were told that no hard feelings would occur if we wanted to opt out of out contract. We chose not to opt out each time, because I did not want to pay someone else to fix their poor quality of work. We regret not accepting early losses and finding someone capable of building a quality product that we could be proud of. I would not recommend Construction Innovations for any level of residential house.
