Be very careful with this Pro. He promised me to finish the work and took the money in advance and never showed up again. I have various complaints filed against him.

I hired this pro for a wallpaper job and he did a very bad job at it. He asked for money saying he doesn't have money to have food and he would come back to correct the work but then he disappeared. Be aware of this pro. He would talk about his 2 decade experience and all that to trap you. I got trapped and now paying more than $1400 to correct his bad job.

I hired this pro based on what he said - he can do this job (wallpaper installation on one wall) better than others. We agreed to start the work on Dec 24, 2017 and i was told that the work (install wallpaper on a wall) will be done in 1 day. The pro had come to my place and i had shown him the wall and the wallpaper so that there is no confusion later. We agreed to a price of $250. I also mentioned to him that i want to get the wallpaper done before the Christmas party at my house on Dec 25, 2017 evening. On Dec 24, 2017, in the morning, pro texts me that his truck is stolen last night and his tools and wallet were in that truck. He said he can still do the job on that day (Dec 24, 2017) if i can go to Lowe's and buy wallpaper glue for him. I said ok and i bought the glue for $60. This was part of the overall quote of $250 that pro gave me. I also got agreement signed with a 2 year warranty on workmanship. The pro arrived at 10.35am on Dec 24, 2017. He worked that day and couldn't finish the job and said he would come next day (Dec 25, 2017) and i said ok. The pro did not have any money to have even food and i bought lunch and dinner for two of them to make sure they are fed well and do a good job. Before the pro left for the day, he asked me for some money and i said i can pay $50 to his paypal (which is what we had agreed initially). The pro requested me to pay cash as his paypal account was in negative balance and if i pay $50 to his paypal, he won't get anything. I showed him my sympathy and paid him cash. On Dec 25, 2017, the pro arrived around 9.30am and started doing the job. I asked them if they had breakfast and "not to my surprise," the answer was no. I fed them breakfast. It was now afternoon and the wall needed a lot of finishing work (there were seams visible on the entire wall and it should not). The pro said he is tired and cannot finish the work that day. He said he needs another good ladder or so. He promised to come back on Dec 29, 2017 and finish the work. Before he left for the day, he requested more money as cash and looking at his "poor" condition, i paid him $100 cash. I got all this cash payment paid to him in writing on our contract. On Dec 29, 2017, i was expecting him, obviously. At around 10.30am, when he did not arrive, i called him and he said he is making some arrangements and he would come by 2pm. I said ok. Ideally, he should have called me to inform me because he promised to arrive that day. At 1.41pm on Dec 29, 2017, he texts me that he cannot make it that day and would do the job on Monday, Jan 1, 2018. He then texts me that since Jan 1, 2018 is the new year day, he will come on Jan 2, 2018. I texted him back - "can you finish the job on Dec 31, 2017 because i have another party in my house on the 1st". He never replied to my text. Anyways, on Jan 2, 2018, i was expecting him but he neither came nor called/texted me. I hired another pro today (Dec 3, 2018) and showed him the work and the other pro says that the work, that has been done, is completely waste and i will have to get it re-done after removing all the wallpaper that has already been put on. I spent around $600 on wallpaper and i am now forced to buy that again and pay a new pro to get the work done right. The other pro is asking for $450 to do the job right.
