Take a look at Brown and Sons BBB complaints- Owner David Brown with same address. He's not even allowed to be doing contracting work. His Contractors license was revoked from Pikes Peak Regional Building Department on December 29th 2017. All of the complaints are public record and easy to find if you look up Brown and Sons on Google. Currently in the process of trying to get a $7500 refund for work he STOPPED showing up to perform.

Although my experience with this company started out great and was initially satisfied, however my satisfaction as wained. Within the first week there was issues arising on the deck built. Issues being warped and splitting boards and loose and leaning railings. Company notified right away, however the responce to come back out to make necessary repairs was very, very slow but eventually repaired. I decided to give the company one more try to make repairs on my gutters and fascia boards as they were leaking between the gutters and fascia creating damage to the fascia. They were also to replace some window trim boards and caulk windows. Company said gutters were improperly installed and once they made the fascia repairs and reinstalled existing gutters correctly the issue would be resolved. It was discovered after a hard steady rain that what they did did not fix the issue of the leaking gutters. In fact the issue was worse. After many, many requests for this company to repair the issues, they finally came out and installed a sheet metal drip strip under the roof shingles. Once again after a heavy rain it became apparent same issues still occuring. Also the trim board around the window warped and the caulking came loose. Again this company was notified immediately when it became apparent these issues existed and also noticed same issues regarding the deck are occuring again. For months and months I have requested that this company return to fix these issues. I have been provided several times with dates that they will be out only to become a no show from company and no call to reschedule. During these months and months of requesting the company return to repair their work, there have been dates given, excuse after excuse like they are swamped with work, fired employee and short handed until another employee hired, their facebook was taken down, texts and phone calls with no responce from texts or voice messages or just being ignored. Once facebook and phone just ringing and ringing with no voice recording, I had no option but to contact the Better Business Bureau. It was through them that requests were made for a partial refund to hire another contractor only to be denied by this company since it would only cost the company a few dollars for the repairs. How can this be if they won't or haven't come out for these repairs. Will cost more than a few dollars to hire another contractor. This is getting lengthy so let me just say, I would caution anyone considering work by this company as they apparently don't care about their customer once they take your money and don't stand behind their work. Enough said except just no that no referrals will be handed out by me, just word of caution!!!! Very, very poor is my rating.

Would not recommend this contractor. He performed two projects on our home in 2017. While the final product is nice the customer experience was awful. Project extended over way too many weeks with inconsistent and short work hours, poor responsiveness, and ultimately installed a broken bay window that he promised he has ordered the replacement to be here in a week. After he got paid he no longer responded to repeated attempts at contacting him via text, call, Facebook, etc both to him and to his office. Totally MIA after being paid which left us with a broken bay window, and now the other side window has a crack in it just a month later. We contacted them over and over with no response. We then contacted the building supply company Dave Brown used to purchase the windows to check on the replacement window he said he had ordered. Come to find out from them and the window manufacturer that Dave never even ordered the new window. No wonder no reply. This is not an honest or reliable provider. Sadly this review had to posted as Dave Brown and Sons decided not to respond to multiple requests and attempts to courteously resolve this. We hope to prevent others from the same headaches of a poor, and highly avoidable, customer experience.
