Top Notch they are not. I honestly do not know who the blame, this company for AHS for sending this company to my home. I contacted AHS before my exterior water hose connector was leaking. A "tech" came to my home today and after "accessing" the problem it told me that the piece that was causing the leak was "aftermarket," and "he had never seen something like this before. Sigh. I have a HUGE problem with this and question if this company even employs plumbers who are licensed in their craft. In fact, the piece that was leaking is called a water vacuum breaker which is required any place where water is supplied for any use other than drinking. This is outlined 1102.03 PLUMBING CODE REQUIREMENT. A trained and skilled person would or should be aware of any code requirements that govern what can and cannot be done in their TRADE. The code furthers that a water breaker should be installed on all hose bibs as it is designed to prevent water from re-entering the main water supply. That's so aftermarket. NOT it is a REQUIREMENT and was not installed after the fact to make the hose bib look pretty. Unskilled and more than likely unlicensed contracts who should not be allowed to work on plumbing issues in people's homes that would and could cause more damage from water. American Home Shield stole a $100 from me from a deductible by sending an unqualified, unskilled, contractor to my home, and Top Notch is stealing from American Home Shield by stating they are qualified. AVOID

It's too bad you have to give any stars, because they are not worthy of even ONE star! This is BY FAR the WORST company I have ever had to work with. ZERO customer service! My home warranty company (American Home Shield) sent this joke of a company to analyze my broken water heater. I knew it was bad, and it took them all of 10 minutes to know it. Perfect. BUT, this is where things got ridiculous... I received an email asking me when they wanted me to come replace the water heater, and explaining that my home warranty didn't cover $425. I agreed, but wanted to talk to someone about all of the details. It took THREE WEEKS of them promising to call, but NEVER calling before I said "forget it" and scheduling OVER EMAIL for them to come. I called AHS every other day in those three weeks, and they couldn't get this company on the phone either. Finally on the day that they were supposed to install, they were a no-call, no-show. I know, shocker. After THREE weeks, the genius that is AHS allowed me to switch companies. A lost day of work, numerous hours begging to get someone on the phone, and dozens of emails saying they can't call but they will have someone do it...still haven't spoken to ANYONE! Buyer beware. If you use this company, good luck.

Horrible craftsmanship and even worse customer service. Although, Top Notch’s invoice indicated my sump pump was evaluated to be in “excellent working” condition the next day it mysteriously stopped working altogether, completely. Never having an issue with my sump pump, I only called Top Notch as a proactive quality control check of my sump pump system. I did not expect having to call back Top Notch to explain the situation only to be insulted, talked over, disregarded and hung up on. The representative “Haley” hung up on myself and my wife after making the comment that “you people” need to wait until the next day which is when a technician may be available. Meanwhile, it’s 8:20 am and my basement is flooding as we speak due to the horrible craftsmanship and even worse customer service of Top Notch or rather Bottom Notch. Later that day, I secured a second opinion from a reputable company and confirmed that somehow a key piece of equipment was “mysteriously” snapped off. Buyer Beware

DO NOT USE. BEWARE. First, the lady on the phone was very mean and combative. But mainly, they tried to get me to do service that I DID NOT NEED, and they play American Home Shield like a game. I was directed to them by American Home Shield, my home warranty company. They said they "found stoppage in guest bath and mb toilet, main line stoppage, no clean out available need to remove toilet to snake line" and would have to snake it 50-60 feet.... and because I didn't have 'Clean Out' that meant that I got denied being covered by American Home Shield, and thus Top Notch Plumbing was oh so kind to offer to do the Main Line Cleanout for $450. I thought that was excessive, asked alot of questions and told them, no I didn't want them to do it and I was going to bid it out. I went on Thumbtack with the prognosis that Top Notch provided, and got quotes between $200 and $250. NO WHERE CLOSE TO $450. Then, these other plumbers were also telling me that I didn't have to worry about a Cleanout area. As long as I removed the toilet myself, they could get 50-60 feet of snake with no problem. Top Notch said I could not remove the toilet myself (HUH???). So one of the ones I got a quote from on Thumbtack was G&B Services of Bowie (5 STARS FOR G&B!!!!!!!). They gave me a $205 quote to do the work Top Notch said they could do for $450. However, G&B looked at the toilet and immediately said the reason it wasn't flushing was that the fill tube was not inside the overflow tube so the toilet was not re-filling. He pointed it out to me and I did it myself. No tools required. That fixed the toilet. So then we went to the bathtub that was not draining and had debris coming up. They brought in a tool, but only needed to go down 3 to 4 inches to clean it out. It drains perfectly. Both of these issues could have been solved as easy as it was by G&B, but instead, Top Notch wanted to charge $450 for service I did not need. G&B charged me $85, and that was it. THANK YOU G&B...... and Top Notch, I'm waiting for an apology.
