NEXT GENERATION CONTRACTING

We are beyond dissatisfied with our experience with this contractor. Almost immediately after agreeing on a price for our deck project, he came to us to say that he had calculated our project wrong, and that we would need to pay $700 more for additional materials. He said that he was going to absorb the labor costs, because it was his error. A week later, he states that he again miscalculated, and that the actual overage charges were going to be $3400. We wanted to know why the overage jumped by nearly 500% than he originally stated, and he had no reasonable explanation. We asked for a materials list, to better understand what was going on, but he refused to give us one. The whole situation was, and remains very frustrating. Our hope is to prevent him from being able to do this to others.
