MUST READ! MUST READ! WARNING: DO NOT HIRE JUAN MORENO OF ODD-SQUAD OR ANYONE WORKING FOR OR WITH HIM! HE IS A THIEF AND A FRAUD! I would give this guy NEGATIVE TEN STARS IF I COULD. I recently hired this guy to do drywall in my garage. He did the work but left texture overspray on my garage doors and rails. That was two weeks ago and he hasn’t returned to cleanup. I’ve asked him multiple times but he hasn’t returned. I also hired him to clean my garage floor concrete and acid stain the concrete, seal it and wax the surface. The materials were $675 so I offered to pay for the materials up front. He accepted a check from me and cashed it immediately. I emptied the garage of all my gear to prepare for the concrete cleaning. For the past 17 days, he only showed up for one hour to clean the drywall mud mess he left on the floor and to grind the corners. He initially told me he would begin on Thursday and finish by Sunday. He never showed up and didn’t even call or text me to let me know he wasn’t coming. He then said he would start on Monday. Again, he never showed up, didn’t call or text. No communication. He then said he would start on Wednesday since the materials he ordered wouldn’t arrive until the day prior (Tuesday). Wednesday comes and he never shows up, again. I’m really unhappy with this jerk now and ready to fire him. My gear and equipment has now been sitting outside in the rain for 17 days because he continually claimed he was coming to do the work. He then says he’s so busy that he can’t get to my job. I’ve been telling him for almost a week now to deliver the materials I paid him for. He keeps making all kinds of excuses and never delivers the materials. Then he says he’ll just bring my money back. It turns out that he never even ordered the materials but took my money anyway! LIAR! What a dirtbag! Juan Moreno is a cheat and a liar. He came one time to begin cleaning the concrete and has now abandoned my job. He still has my money and claimed he’d put it in the mail. That was almost a week ago and now after warning him about filing a law suit, he texted me and basically says it’ll take a court order to get back my $675 which he gained under false pretenses. What Audacity! He must be experienced stealing customers money! I’ve called my attorney and we’re filing a law suit tomorrow asking for punitive damages since he lied about ordering the materials he claimed he ordered, and then tried to disappear. I had to track him down through his business and landlord. His business address is his home address. Some fleabag trailer in Conroe. DO NOT HIRE THIS FRAUD AND THIEF! MUST READ! Juan with the Odd Squad won the bid for our covered patio, master bath remodel and floor install. His prices were very competitive, however, after that he has been all over the place First the patio project Juan said it would take 4 to 5 days and after completing the project over 2 weeks later, there are still issues that need to be address, like trimming, over pour of concrete and over hanging tile plus no gutters. It’s just not complete This turn key project turned into having to purchase materials and begging him to give a time frame of completion with several no shows no calls Master Bath project After giving him another chance & liking him personally, it was also a DISASTER. Another 4 to 5 day turn key project turned into to over 2 weeks and still not complete. We had to purchase material and tile, yet again, and the waste was amazing having to redo the wall tile, cuts not straight and over and under grout I gotta. Leaks in the plumbing, over the unfinished wood floors in the master bath I even had to out a deposit down in the shower frame for him!!! Add another 800 in loses. Like the bath and patio he started the floors which he and his crew totally destroyed with a dull blade with Nicks and Scratches. We are having to take bids to finish the job because of the poor craftsmanship and the unreliability of the Odd Squad. The Odd Squad has turned out to be a waste of time and money. And he claims this was a small job! I could only image how they manage a larger project with no shows, material waste, and unfinished work. If you are wanting at the very best inconsistent and unreliable, Mediocre work then use them! Because he will lie over and over. And keep the last draw ($4300). We tried and tried to give JUAN a chance over and over again. but he still doesn’t respond to calls text and when his mouth is moving you have no other choice be to suspend disbelief
