I come from a line of self-employed builders and repairmen who "make things work". My grand father started a company as a carpenter, he loved to repair and create all types of furniture. My father was a self employed auto body mechanic and was extremely good with "making things work". I seem to have inherited both of these traits and since I was 12 years old I have wanted to "make things work".
