We had a $15,000 project. The project started in June and we were assured it would be done by the end of August. August came and went with relatively little done. He started coming out less and less until finally in November he stopped coming altogether. He has left us with about $6000 worth of work left to be done and has all but $1500 of the $15,000 contract. He also took our barn wood and other wood that we spent many hours trying to find because it was a wide piece of board and needed to match what was already put up. He was supposedly taking it to work on it for installation but then he never came back and never brought it back. He also has paint we have paid for. His painting subcontractor did terrible work and Chris blew up when we started to complain about it. The painter is the only complaint we had as far as work. We had a contract but he said he couldn't be very specific on details because he was finishing up from a previous contractor's work. We foolishly let that slide because we had a good recommendation from a local business. He later forgot details of our laundry cabinets and it was really hard trying to get those items taken care of. He did eventually do most of them, but it was a battle, and we just let 2 shelves and the cabinet depth we wanted go. He will not return calls or texts and it is now April. The work he completed was very good, but it has done us no good since he didn't bother to finish. We cannot cook soups or anything with a lot of steam because we have no downdraft and we still cannot use our living room because it is not finished and his stuff is still in it. I've never left a negative review before, but we have too much money tied up in this to let this go.
