Never have I been as disrespected by a service company as with J. Martin - made a morning appointment to check out my ice maker on Jan. 14 - It was after noon when I called to see if he was coming. He said he was on his way. Jeff Martin, son of the owner, walked into the house, no apology for lateness, told me I needed a new ice maker. Paid 1/2 of total bill for service call and installation of new ice maker. When notified that ice maker part was in, called and made morning appointment for 2/4 - Dave arrived at a reasonable hour, installed new ice maker. I paid the balance on the bill. Dave assured me that there was a 90 day warranty on parts and labor. Ice maker never made ice. Called on 2/6 to report the problem and make an appointment. The older woman on the phone said she'd try to get someone out there today but they had a full schedule. I understood that. She said I would be FIRST on the list on Monday, 2/9. Monday morning came and went - I called the office. No answer (do you think they recognize my numbers?) I left messages. After 11:00 am Jeff called to tell me his children were sick and I'd have to reschedule. He assured me that I would be FIRST on the schedule on 2/11. I called at 9:00 am to make sure, Jenny told me Jeff had to make a stop but I was next after that. At 10:00 I called the office. No answer. I called Jeff's number that Jenny gave me. No answer. I left messages. Thinking that perhaps I was being ignored, I asked my husband to call. Jenny picked up right away and told him she had been on a conference call for 2 hours. She told him that the technicians made their own schedule. I received a call from Jeff saying he was on his way, he had another service call before mine. Jeff arrived. Looked at the ice maker, asked when it stopped working. I said it never worked. He said it's making ice. There's water in the tray so we need to wait for it to freeze and make the ice. I asked him what did he do to make it suddenly work. He said he had done nothing, I would just have to wait for it to make ice. I stated that I had never been so disrespected and lied to in my life. Please don't make the same mistake I did.
