RBS Landscape & Tree Care

Landscaping for my new house was the final step in a very long process. Out of everything I had endured for nearly 2 years, Landscaping proved to be one of the most difficult. A friend/neighbor recommended Robert B Singler – RBS Landscape & Tree Care. He was warned I am VERY picky. The Work Order was signed 9 September 2016 and it was expressly agreed to by both parties the project would be completed with quality plants and materials in a 2 week time period. Additionally, all plants would be guaranteed for a 1 year period. I was offered a discount equal to the Sales Tax if I paid for the entire project in advance. I was not comfortable with that and stated I was more interested in a quality job than a discount. At the end of week 1, I expressed concern regarding Mr. Singler’s ability to execute my job, because it had become clear he did not have the staff, tools or skills. I suggested we sever our relationship. He implored me to continue as his family needed the money and vowed to improve his performance. About week 3, it became necessary for me to pay the sprinkler subcontractor directly for their sprinkler system, because Mr. Singler had used my funds for something other than my job. At the end of week 5 Mr. Singler was notified he had one week to complete the project or he would be replaced. One week later I notified him to come and pick up his tools. He then informed me I couldn’t fire him because he quit and then proceeded with multiple texts berating me. I had to hire another Landscaper to fix all of Mr. Singler’s mess and finish the job. The plants Mr. Singler installed were substandard AND not the size promised in my Work Order. In March 2017, I contacted Mr. Singler to replace most of the plants he had installed, because they did not survive the winter. In response, I received additional texts berating and threatening me.
