  | Diablo Residence #1 | Jun 2012 | Complete exterior makeover of an existing home in Diablo, CA. Original house featured T1-11 siding, cramped entry, and little architectural detail (see Before & After photos). There is very little addition (the covered porch with arched openings at far right is an addition), but the exterior facade is completely reinvented. A more generous entry porch with terra cotta steps is added. There is little usable yard at the rear because of a hill, so the front yard is used for entertaining, facing the 18th fairway of the golf course across the private drive. | Diablo, CA | |
  | Architects Creekside Residence | Apr 2009 | See how this California architect reinvented his own 70's creekside rancher in Danville. Every space of the single-floor home was improved over time, and a master suite and game room added. Window walls and an expansive trellis unite the interior with the exterior at the rear yard. Outdoor living makes the most of California's mild climate with terraced patios and an open air covered BBQ. Open beam and trussed volume ceilings with skylights bring ample light to the interior. Metal windows and contemporary lines and detail mix harmoniously with warm wood and rustic stone for a modern Craftsman aesthetic. | Danville, CA |
