BUYER BEWARE! The Folding Sliding Door Co is making a marketing push for market share in the door market, but they have significant operation problems. They do not have local installers in all markets, and if something goes wrong with the door, they will blame the manufacturer. We had to buy 2 doors to make a customer happy because of the inferior technology and lack of manufacturer support. In addition, we do not like how the swing door is hinged (tied to) the folding door. Other door manufacturers that I have used in the past would not offer this option. The swing door would have to connect to a fixed jamb. The swing door is the most used door and moves a little each time it is used. This means the hinge at the folding/swing door will wear out much faster than a standard hinge tied to a fixed jamb. I see it as a customer service issue, with a lot of use the door will need to be adjusted often and most likely the hinges will need to be replaced.
