We worked with RDB in 2014 to complete a major renovation on our 1,800 square foot house. Our goal was to redesign the space for more efficient use, to modernize the systems, and to perform some needed structural work. It took about 8 months from design to completion, and needless to say, there were many choices and decisions along the way. What impressed us the most about RDB was their efficiency, assurance or quality work, and communication about the project as it went forward. Also, the entire project was completed on time, to our specifications, and at the price quoted.

We experienced consistently professional, talented, reliable, ethical, friendly and genuinely caring staff - a really solid team. They've developed an impressively organized process, and we felt gently shepherded through the process. Additionally, we did not have to worry that a misunderstanding or problem could or would not be resolved in a satisfactory manner. And not only did our relationship not suffer, but it actually thrived throughout the project - unheard of!

Morningside - Modern Transitional Kitchen | Nov 2015 | A poorly installed dishwasher caused major damage to this Morningside kitchen, affecting cabinets and hardwood floors. Although a misfortune, the homeowners treated it as an opportunity to update the kitchen to better reflect their modern style. Renewal worked with this client previously in 2010 on several bathroom renovations and were thrilled when they contacted us again to assist with a kitchen renovation. The new design creates a better flow between the kitchen and family room while increasing storage space that fits this family’s needs. This open kitchen with contrasting cabinet finishes has a clean, modern look with a hint of mid-century flavor. The well-planned layout creates a gathering space that allows for casual dining and entertaining. | Atlanta, GA
Morningside Transitional Craftsman | Apr 2014 | The young couple who owns this 1940's Morningside - Lenox Park home, love their neighborhood and the location. They decided to add a second story to their existing 2 bedroom 1.5 bathroom, home, while also updating most of the downstairs and adding a screened porch. The 2nd floor addition of nearly 1,000 sq ft., which includes 2 bedrooms and two baths, provides plenty of space for this family to grow. A newly located stairway, light-filled master suite, laundry area and secondary bed and bath fill out the space of the all new second floor. The existing kitchen was completely gutted and opened up to a keeping room adding more natural light. This family friendly kitchen offers plenty of organized storage and a view to the new screened porch. | Atlanta, GA
Tucker - Modern Master Bathroom | Mar 2014 | This Tucker home had a late 80s master bathroom that needed a modern update. The whirlpool tub, builders grade vanity and flowered wallpaper were replaced with this serene soaking tub, elegant tile and a floating vanity. The homeowners like a contemporary aesthetic, but live in a traditional home so we selected materials that provided the best of both worlds. | Tucker, GA

Druid Hills Mid Century Modern Renovation | Nov 2013 | When the homeowners purchased this 1950s home in historic Druid Hills, it had already undergone numerous disjointed renovations. The cramped, dark kitchen was isolated from the rest of the home and in need of an update. As part of this project, the homeowners also wanted to create a new light filled entrance while adding a dramatic staircase to better connect the ground level and 1st floor. Renewal Design-Build collaborated with the homeowners to create a mid-century modern inspired kitchen with plenty of room to gather, cook and socialize. | Atlanta, GA
House Remodel | Apr 2013 | Designed to flow seamlessly from one space to the next, this renovation crafted a modern, open floor plan from a dark and dated basic ranch. The removal of interior walls, an updated front entry, and new doors and windows contribute to the light-filled design. While the custom fireplace defines the heart of the home and creates an anchor for the space. The reconfigured rooflines add drama to the exterior and allow the new master addition to blend beautifully with the original structure. In the end, the home is 2,442 sq. ft. and includes a modern kitchen open to the family room, breakfast nook, 4 bedrooms, and 2.5 baths to create a more open floor plan for easy entertaining and family living. | Atlanta, GA

Grant Park, Atlanta Interior Renovation | Nov 2012 | This historic two story house with double front porches overlooks Atlanta's Grant Park. The existing three bedroom/two bath home required the two children to share a bedroom to allow for a home office. The homeowners' primary goal of this interior renovation was to create separate spaces for a home office and separate bedrooms for their children. The staircase area became the focus of the design changes. Project scope: Created upper and lower work zones by using the vertical space of the existing stairwell. Redesigned floor plan and changed location of staircase, electrical panel, furnace, laundry and side entry. Created an office loft off of the new staircase landing allowing for the former second floor office to become an additional bedroom. The space underneath the new staircase provided additional storage and a kids' area for playing and doing homework. The new floor plan also opened up a hallway to the living room and adjusted the opening to the dining room. Refinished the first floor hardwoods, added insulation at the crawlspace and painted or wallpapered the majority of the downstairs walls. | Atlanta, GA |
