Mover - Denver, CO
4.6
DieHard Movers is a moving company in Denver. It was thought up with the desire to create an honest, ethical moving company that was affordable, professional, and efficient. Today, it continues to grow every day with the hard work and dedication from each and every one of our employees. Since 2009, we have helped thousands of people move into their new home or office. Along the way, we perfected our packing and wrapping, loading and unloading, and customer service techniques. We have come far as a company since our origin, but our company mission still remains the same: to provide Colorado residents with the best movers Denver has to offer.

Did not show up on time (did not receive updates, lied about 2 hour delay, stated they were in traffic) Workers were taking 20 minutes in between coming up and down the stairs. This was addressed with supervisor and he stated he would talk to them to resolve this issue. He yelled at the top of his lungs and disturbed neighbors. Even after that, I did not see the workers more than 4 times per hour moving stuff from our apartment. Since they were taking so long we asked them to take what they had already loaded in the truck and the big things only. My pregnant wife and I are having to move everything left. I had to help the supervisor move the large items as the workers were not in the apartment for about 30 minutes. He clearly did not know how to wrap furniture. While supervisor was trying to pack heavy items. I helped him move as he was attempting to handle items that were too heavy for one person, in an attempt to avoid breaking our belongings Their packing was very sloppy and did not serve the purpose of protecting our property. Supervisor constantly yelling at his workers (“talked to them”) extremely loud at old and new apartment. At new apartment we were reported to office because of the yelling and them hitting the walls when moving things up the stairs. Supervisor by the name of Ruben (Phone number: 720.682.5814) appeared and smelled like he had been consuming alcohol throughout the job. Noticeable alcohol smell from his breathe. Movers broke our couch ($300 value) and our desk ($150 value). Two valuable and non-replaceable medium boxes were lost in the move. One of them containing at least 5 large handmade quilts ($1000 minimum value). Movers left trash in front of apartment for which we were reprimanded by landlord. Three large bags of trash and half of the broken desk were left on the street. The price we were given at the end of the move was no more than $300. In fact, supervisor estimated $256 after all the discounts and adjustments for broken furniture and horrible service. In other words, we were quoted a TOTAL price of less than $300. Supervisor Ruben assured us we would not pay more than the initial deposit. He reiterated that he had talked to his superior and they had agreed to compensate for the negative experience we had. We have been charged close to $447 in addition to the deposit. Not what we were told we would have to pay. Ruben, the supervisor, showed us on his phone that we were signing for $256. Documents show a different amount. Signatures on the document were also time stamped at a time that they were not at our location. When we attempted to get compensation for all this, they sent us to their “adjuster” and told us it could take up to 120 days. One hundred and twenty days later and adjuster stated they could not proceed with investigation. They referred us to DieHard movers once again. It is now 1/22/2020 and we have yet to hear from this company regarding compensation or update on the case of any kind. The move happened at the end of October 2019.

I moved again and this time I didn’t make the mistake of overlooking DieHard. I was really pleased to learn that they had a groupon discount. Movers that came were so efficient and courteous. They arrive 15 minutes early and worked methodically for the next 4 hours. They were very friendly as well, which made the experience a lot better. It was a well-priced and stress-free move. I’ll be using them in my next move.

I thought it was important to let you know that you did a great job. Moving house is supposed to be stressful as help but with the organized moving plan we had together with the good muscle you guys provided lead to a damn fine move. Man you guys really worked hard and did a damn fine job I dare say. And with Sean at the helm, everything went perfectly. Both from our previous house to our new place. Thank you and high five!
