I can not say enough good things about Ryan and Backdraft Chimney Service. It's so rare to find a business that operates with honesty and integrity that you are shocked when you find one. We had a fireplace throat damper that showed up on a home inspection report as needing to be repaired or replaced. Based on pictures, other companies had recommended a chimney top damper as the only solution. Ryan, too, had quoted the job with a Lock Top chimney cap damper at a great price compared to his competitors. However, when Ryan arrived he asked to look at the existing damper. He determined that the original damper had been improperly installed and he reinstalled it correctly. He could have very easily installed the cap damper and made a lot more money but chose to just make the needed repairs. I would recommend Ryan and Backdraft Chimney Service for all your chimney needs.
