I have been transforming homes and businesses with my talent for over 30 years. I especially enjoy doing faux finishes, like painting a surface to look like marble or stone. Also producing Trompe le'oeil (fool the eye) murals that are very realistic, so much so I have had people try to pull a door to open it and then realize it's just a flat painted wall! I love to design and build things too, such as grain painted furniture my partner and I design and build ourselves. I have been a self employed decorative painter and muralist most of my career. Each job is different, I never do the same thing twice and I love the challenge each project brings.

Laundry Room Re-do | Jun 2014 | Our client's laundry room was only 6 years old, but the space was so inefficient and cramped. I designed a new layout to give more storage, space and leg room not only for the people who live there but also for their three four-legged family members. The wife already had a couple inspiration photos for me to go by, from Pinterest of course! All I had to do is to incorporate her pins into the remodeling. The ceiling received a herringbone design installation created with pine and a weathering technique. | Bowling Green, OH
Old, Weathered, and Beaten | Dec 2013 | Flanking each side of a fireplace with new pine siding, distressing it heavily, and using Old Village Paints, LTD. Gel Stains to give it a weathered barn siding look. Finishing touches...old rusty nails beaten into the walls randomly and then bent over and pounded into the wood! Just what the homeowners wanted! This job was finished on Christmas Eve Day 2013. | Bowling Green, OH
Industrial Love Ceiling | Nov 2013 | This is an entry/mudroom, the most used entrance in this home I work in. Very beautiful home, homeowners wanted a dramatic change in this entry...beginning with the ceiling and my idea for it...a cool, dark, Industrial look. Metallic paint finish and custom, made by us, wood moldings that I will paint to look like metal to match the ceiling, that have over 600 real steel hex head slotted sheet metal screws, spaced every 3" apart. Can I make my idea come true? Anything is possible! | Bowling Green, OH
Game Room | Nov 2013 | Designing a game room for a 12 year old boy who wanted a more grown up look, something cool that would carry him well into his teens. A gathering place for him, his friends and family. | Bowling Green, OH
Little Cupboards-Big Pleasures | Jan 2012 | One Of A Kind pieces handbuilt and grain/ painted for a client's grandchildren. Made mainly from Poplar wood and pine trim moldings, each one is different. From start to finish, each one can take from 20 to 30 hours of work. They are Little Cupboards, little treasures to use, to enjoy, or gift to someone special. They bring "wows" and smiles and pleasure! | Findlay, OH
Mother of Pearl Faux Finish | Apr 2011 | I was asked to do a faux Mother of Pearl ceiling finish on two big roundels in the Master Bedroom of this customized home. | Findlay, OH
Cantina Kitchen | May 2010 | Home owner wanted his kitchen transformed into a southwestern inspired cantina. Murals were painted and a custom painted countertop was installed. | Deshler, OH
Foyer Transfoyermation | Feb 2010 | A total transformation of a foyer in a home in Williamsburg on the River. Old 1980's popcorn ceiling & country wallpaper had to go. Client dreamed of a heavenly entrance...even with cherubs on the ceiling! She showed me a photo of her inspiration dream room, which was in an Italian island mansion...Isola Bella...and was at least 50 times larger than her foyer! So I told her I could give her a dainty version of the room in the magazine...or at least try to. | Bowling Green, OH
A Bedtime Story | Dec 2009 | ne of my best clients that I've done a lot of decorative painting for, emailed me last September '09 to see if we could make them a bed...to be more precise...if we could build them a fantastic bed with a 6 1/2' tall headboard that resembles an antique Spanish door. The wife found a 200 year old door on the internet at a site that sells architectural salvage with old doors as their main feature. But it would've cost a fortune to have the massive door shipped from Europe, so I designed the next best thing...a custom built King size bed with handcarved panels just like the ones on the antique door she saw online. We built it in our garage and did 27 hand carved panels on our kitchen table. The finished bed was delivered just in time for Christmas and was a complete success! Also the walls and ceilings were given faux finishing treatments. | Bowling Green, OH |
