I recently had the pleasure of working with Steinhours Construction on a home renovation project and I must say, I was thoroughly impressed with their work and professionalism.

CJ did 30 feet of fencing and a gate. He was on time, and on budget. The extra was when the lumber company dumped the wood at the curb...CJ and helper showed up and put it in a safe place. Good Job!

CJ Steinhour and his crew just completed a 160 foot wood-and-wire fence across the back of our property and we are extremely pleased with it. The quality of the work was first-rate and the price was reasonable. The work was finished in just a few days including removal of the old fence and complete clean-up. We will be using them again next month to replace our front fences. CJ was very easy to work with and we give them the highest possible recommendation.

I have nothing but great things to say about these guys! And I HIGHLY recommend them. (This review is coming from someone who has been in the construction industry for 30+ years). The last huge windstorm hit here in Benicia (well the entire Bay area), and my (very old 40+ year old) fence busted at the posts. I called CJ that day (Saturday) from a referral from my FIL(who he did a complete fence replacement after a tree destroyed it last year). He immediately called me back, and came out that Monday to look at it. I got the quote very quickly, and he was very fair on his prices (i received a few quotes). In fact, even with the wood costs still being through the roof, and the availability still being hard to get, I was pleasantly surprised with his bid. Because of the location and how much wind we get up here, he recommended thicker posts and spacing to be shorter in between (before i even got a chance to ask him). He was the only one who actually looked at all the conditions and made that suggestion. He ended up replacing about 100ft of Good neighbor fencing, and replaced a small section with a gate (of the same old rotting wood). He even had to deal with part of the fence going between 2 older sheds that couldn't be moved. (pretty narrow area). Communication with him was great, and he kept me in the loop every step of the way. (Like a good contractor should do) And very accommodating with me not being able to move a few things from my fence. I can't even begin to tell you how pleased I am with his work. The fence looks great! And its sturdy!! I have no doubt it will survive our winds up here. I have another fence that's not in great condition (same old wood, but still standing!) that will be needing replacement here at some point in the near future, and I can guarantee I will having CJ come out and do that one too.
