Home Addition - We had a flat roof ranch house prior to renovations. Our project included adding a peaked roof with attic space and central air conditioning. A new master bedroom and bathroom, and two walk-in closets were built onto the back of the house. In the existing part of the house, we had a couple of walls removed from one bedroom to add a pantry and to make our dining room bigger. From the start, no other contractor worked like Mike to get the project to where we needed it to be financially. We really did not know what we were getting ourselves into and of all of the contractors that we interviewed, Mike was the only one to offer to meet with our architect to get the project to where our budgets and dreams could align. Mike brought subcontractors to look at aspects of the project before he even wrote us an estimate, so there would not be any surprises later in the project. Mike, Mike Jr. and Dan were a pleasure to work with. They were always available for questions, very quick to respond to any questions or concerns that we had, were super punctual and they are talented craftsmen. Their ability to tie our old home into our new addition was very seamless, the two parts fit into each other very nicely. Mike's subcontractors were also great. They were clean, caring and very professional. Everyone worked very cleanly and with great respect for us and our house. We lived at the house throughout the entire project and they worked hard to keep it livable throughout. We could not have been happier with them. Although it may have taken slightly longer than what we had hoped due to unforeseeable delays, it was the best money we ever spent!

MK Remodeling took on a substantial home project. The quote process was easy and the approvals from the township was smooth. MK added a 2nd story dormer, new bathroom, new laundry room, renovated kitchen, and remodeled bathroom. There were many challenges involve, but the work was completed to a high standard.

The MK Remodeling staff are dedicated to customer satisfaction. From our first dealings with them, they inspired confidence. They are willing to accommodate a homeowner's rough design ideas and provide a voice of reason about what will work or not, usually in keeping with the integrity of a house. They are also happy to work within a customer's budget; it's likely that a new, potential customer would be pleasantly surprised, as my husband and I were, by a given work estimate from MK. They took care of everything in our kitchen design--plumbing, electrical, appliance and cabinet installation and some custom carpentry. They work efficiently and leave things clean. We wouldn't call on anyone else for home renovation and repair.

Mike, his sons, and their subcontractors did a fantastic job during the complete renovation of our house. They install a new roof, including replacing all of the old and rotted 3/8" roof decking with new 5/8" decking, installed new siding, new fiberglass clad wood windows, replaced a 9ft by 14ft art window with tripled french doors with windows over them, replaced the exterior doors, removed an exterior door and rebricked the area so you would never know a door was there. They made the framing changes inside the house, including removing a load bearing interior wall and replacing it with a LVL Beam, reconfigured the split level interior walls, vaulted the master bedroom ceiling and installed two sky lights. They also reframed all of the basement walls and built new steps to replace termite damage. They also installed all new drywall through the whole house. I knew I had picked the right contractor when I visited the house during framing and saw the large number of levels everywhere. All of the new framing is plumb, level, and built with care. Mike's siding crew, when they realized the siding lines wouldn't quite line up at the final corner, redid the siding along the last side of the house to make everything line up perfectly. Mike was so easy to work with that it was like doing a renovation project with a friend. I wouldn't hesitate to use Mike for any future projects I have and I have recommended him to my friends.
