I begin by visiting the home and planning the project with the homeowner in great detail, discussing different options, preferences, past experiences and the positives & negatives of all the choices ensued. Whether the project be an addition for more living space, a kitchen, bath or basement remodel, a custom-designed deck, replacement windows... (the list goes on...), a complete assessment of the project is performed. Once an agreement is reached, the fun begins. In most cases, a building permit is required; I begin by drafting the plans and submitting it to the local township. Material with lead-times are ordered. Upon town approval, we begin construction, remodeling or renovation as required and continue working on the project until it's completion. When mechanical contractors are needed, I schedule their services and keep a strict timeline in order. Recommendations are provided for all sub-contractors and, of course, the homeowner is free to have his/her preferred sub-contractors working as well. (We do insist that all contractors working on the project are licensed and insured).
