Surface Solutions is the final step in the evolution of a young entrepreneur’s dream. Christopher Filippelli is an Eastern Shore native that found the love for hard work and the outdoors at a very early age. In the summer of 2012 Christopher found a summer job carrying buckets of driveway sealer for a small local company. After three years of working, watching and learning he knew this was something he could do successfully. As luck would have it his employer decided not to return for the following season. For Christopher that meant opportunity. After presenting the idea and a basic business plan to his family he secured a small loan and in April of 2015 Peninsula Sealcoating was born. Starting with his personal truck and a small sealcoating trailer built by his father he was off to build his brand. In just two short years Peninsula Sealcoating grew enough that a decision on the future had to be made. In 2017 he decided to take things to the next level, securing additional funding he purchased specialty equipment made for the sealcoating industry and the rest as they say is history. In the following years the company has continued to grow and extended its reach providing a complete array of asphalt maintenance and related services. In less than five years Peninsula Sealcoating has gone from a teenagers dream to a successful, respected business that has a reputation for quality work, competitive pricing and first class customer service. Fast forward to 2020 and a new day is dawning, after putting significant time and resources into a regional market study Christopher determined that there was a large demand for a full service exterior surface specialty company that would exceed customer expectations. With that Peninsula Sealcoating LLC was rebranded as Surface Solutions in the winter of 2019. Only time will write the next chapter in the exciting story of this young entrepreneur with a burning desire for success!
