The listing for this property says NEW Construction HA- This home was built in 1942 $229,000.00 Then it goes on to say. “Very nice 2/1, after renovation perfect for first home or investment. The property has a carport and be easy to add one more room/bathroom to it.” HA- This home was built in 1942 and has 2 beds· 1 bath· 938 sqft and is in very poor condition. The raised wood floor was deteriorated from moisture. Starting from the bathroom all the way out to the closet with the AC-Air Handler and then the damage bleeds into the living room area. There was termite damage to the suspended rafter beam in the carport and damage in the attic, all the wooden gable ends had sever moisture damage, the roof had a few broken tiles, The hand built rafters were not strapped to the building, the electric had the old round meter with no main panel and no main break, no ground rod and no connection to a water line, but it did have unsafe wiring in several locations, and it did have a GFCI in the kitchen with an open ground-none in the bathroom and the exterior. Several other outlets had wiring issues as well. The plumbing still had some galvanized water lines. Most of the water lines were switch to copper put some was switch to CPVC. Neither the less the water lines in the crawl space and in the attic were not supported except for a rock here or there. The waste line was still cast iron with some PVC connected to it. It appears that the ground is caving into the septic tank. The windows do not operate. All the doors rub on the jambs and most of the hardware is in operable.
