We had a very complicated screened porch and decks built (complicated due to the size and grading of our backyard and access to above ground pool). We met with 7 contractors and chose Chris Pickett because of his knowledge and experience with many decks. Overall, we love our new porch and deck! Chris always responded quickly by email or phone when we had questions/concerns. The men that actually built the deck were very experienced, friendly and accommodating to our dog and kids. We did have several minor issues come up (as expected with a project this size), but Chris addressed and corrected them. The county building inspectors were in the process of changing their building codes and made Chris's team redo and add extra framing in several locations, even after they approved the initial drawings. We appreciated that Chris and his team did the extra work without trying to charge us for the additional material or labor. The only thing we wish we would have done differently, would be to have requested more detailed drawings upfront, even if we had to pay for them. This would have allowed us to properly identify and resolve some of problem areas before Chris’ team was onsite performing construction. This probably wouldn't have been an issue on a smaller project, but ours was rather complex.
