We contracted with Stump's to replace a 30+ tear old wooden deck. The new deck has an very substantial foundation (could easily hold a truck) and has a composite surface (AZEK) and an aluminum railing. Stump's finished the job from demolition thru railings in four working days, with only heavy rain delays, and the completed deck is just beautiful. ALL of their workmen are very polite, easy to work with, and very hard working. The whole project went smoothly without any problems or re-dos. We are most pleased!

Stumps's was professional and did quality work from the beginning when we got a quote even to two weeks after the deck was completed (follow-up). Our deck took less than a week to complete which is amazing to me and it looks superb. Now that the weather is hot we are spending a lot of time on it. We get a LOT of nice compliments from our neighbors too.

Composite deck with breakfast area and grill | Apr 2014 | This deck is constructed with low-maintenance materials and features a raised table area, accent lighting, and a bumpout designed for an outdoor grill. | $18k | Lafayette Hill, PA
Ipe Harwood and Cable Rail | Sep 2013 | We can remodel or refurbish your existing deck. In this case the framing was still in good shape. We got rid of all the old decking and railing and replaced it with Ipe hardwood decking and Cable Railing. Ipe (pronounced ee-pay) is one of the most durable decking substances out there. It's very hard and is fire and insect resistant. Our cable railing features powder coated aluminum posts and stainless steel cables. | $24k | Lancaster, PA
Add roof to existing deck | Jun 2013 | The customer had an existing deck that we had built 3 years ago. We added a roof over part of it for shade and style. | $13k | Downingtown, PA
Deck with underneath storage and Roof | Jan 2013 | This project included a shed area underneath for storage. The walls were built with concrete blocks and then covered with stone veneer for a finished look. The deck are was build on top of the walls making for a very supported deck. A roof placed over any deck adds shade and protection from the weather, while adding lasting beauty to your deck. | $27k | Willow Street, PA
Multi level backyard living space | Jan 2013 | This custom project included several "spaces" for entertaining. A dining area, a living area and a bar area. Each is at a different level to add dimension and style to the deck, while making each area feel like its own space. The vinyl material used on this deck are low maintenance and can withstand the harshest weather and the hottest sun. | $35k | Enola, PA
Large Low Maintenance Deck | Jul 2013 | Vinyl decking isn't the only choice in low maintenance decking. Although the composites of the past were often prone to mold and warping, capped composite is different. It's a solid deck board made of composite but with a thin capping over it for protection. It's a great low maintenance alternative and has a long life. this deck is made using Trex Transcends material. The railing is a larger rail from TimberTech. It's also a capped composite making this a very heavy duty, low maintenance deck that will last for years to come. The rail posts and stairs are finished off with lighting for ambiance at night. | Norristown, PA
Screened Porch With Stone Pillars | May 2013 | Tired of those insects ruining your outdoor parties? We can custom build a screened in porch to your liking. We designed and built this porch with stone columns, AZEK decking, and sky-lights. It's also complete with wiring for a ceiling fan, and a finished soffit ceiling. Enjoy this room spring summer or fall. With the roof overhead and screening, you're protected from the weather and the bugs. Vinyl Deck With Benches | Aug 2012 | This vinyl deck is low to the ground eliminating the need for railing. In this case the customer chose to go with benches around the perimeter with two flower boxes. Benches are a great option for a smaller deck where there's not a lot of room for extra patio furniture. This deck was custom designed with two color patterns to add diversity. The flower boxes are great for planting your favorite summertime blooms. | Lancaster, PA
Cumaru Hardwood Deck | Jul 2012 | The beauty of natural wood can hardly be compared to synthetic decking. Most people are steering away from the traditional Pressure Treated Pine because of the high maintenance and short life. An alternative is hardwood. Cumaru is a hardwood imported from Brazil. It is a very dense wood with a long life. It's similar in performance to Ipe, another Brazilian hardwood that we work with. Cumaru's density and hardness allow it to be insect and fire resistant. If left untreated it will fade to a nice weathered gray, but it's strength and longevity will remain. If treated yearly or every other year with an oil or hardwood wax, it will retain it's brilliant reddish brown look. As seen in the photos, Cumaru varies in color and hue from board to board giving it an almost modern, yet classic look. If you're looking for the beauty of natural wood with the same longevity as synthetics, Cumaru or Ipe are the choice for you! | Rutledge, PA |
