Handyman - Erie, PA
My name is Zach Cronin, and I'm a handyman. What qualifications do I have and why should you hire me? Well, the most important thing is that I'm a homeowner myself. And that means that I understand the concerns of somebody in your position. When you hire a handyman, you're not just purchasing a service, you're allowing someone into your home, someone that will affect your enviroment. I consider that a serious responsibility. I've always done my own home repairs and improvements. Not to save money, but because I enjoy the work and the satisfaction of seeing all my hard work come to fruition. I also know own that I care about my home far more than the stranger that is being paid to work on it. That's why I began offering my services to others, because I enjoy the work and I've heard far too many horror stories from others that have hired contractors or handymen; not showing up on time, being difficult to get a hold of, not respecting their customer's home or time. I don't work fast, and I don't work dirt cheap. I work as though it's my home being worked on, with quality being the highest priority. I strive to exceed my customer's expectations, not pad my bottom line. If that's the kind of person you want working on your home, contact me, and I will earn the right to be your go to guy for home services.

Over The Range Microwave Installation | Jan 2017 | I was hired by a couple to install the new microwave that they had purchased, as well as add a deadbolt to their front door where none had existed. During the initial quoting phase, I advised them on their possible options for the deadbolt, helping them settle on an ANDI Grade one unit, the toughest residential deadbolt available. The deadbolt went in no problem, but a couple of issues popped up with the microwave. This was not the first over the range unit the couple had, and the previous installation left something to be desired. The mounting holes on the cabinet above the microwave were too large and work out, just asking for failure. The support bracket that had been mounted to the wall was mounted in the drywall as opposed to the studs, also begging for failure. They had also knocked a hole in the wall behind the microwave, apparently with the intention of routing the exhaust, however there was no duct work, so the microwave exhaust emptied into the space between the walls. After checking for moisture damage caused by the exhaust "setup" I patched the hole in the drywall. I then reinforced the mounting holes in the cabinet and mounted the bracket using the wall studs, ensuring that the microwave would be securely mounted for years to come. Instead of glossing over the problems caused by the previous installer, I made sure the unit was installed properly. I actually lost money on this project, but gaining the trust and repeat business of a new customer was more than worth it. | $225 | Erie, PA |
