Absolutely terrible people, the son is a good person but the Father is a complete scumbag, he would steal an old woman's last dollar then blame it on one of his workers!! Mel Correa is a master manipulator and screws all of his workers out of money every week. In fact one of his guys was a very good carpenter and they did a job where the guy was promised a good bonus after the job was finished, I know the guy personally he is a very good person but he had a drug problem because he had a surgery a long time ago and got addicted to opiates and the guy decided it was time to get his act together and went to rehab. He made sure Mel was ok with it, so he went to rehab and when he got back from rehab he tried to contact Mel and of course because he owed him his bonus decided he wanted nothing to do with the guy anymore after he did so much for Mel and his son! So the guy was left with nothing!! They use there employees they don't even 1099 them or anything this particular guy worked for them for 3 years and was never 1099, he would work over 50 hrs a week and every single day, sometimes pulled all nighters and sometimes wasn't even paid for it.. Then Mel started making up stories telling people this young man was stealing from him that's why he didn't pay him his bonus and this young man had the keys to every trailer they owned, when tools got stolen from mels trailer It was broken into!! I don't know about yall but of you have keys to something you wouldn't have to break into the trailers!! Then because he knew he owed him that bonus money he let him go and tried to justify it by making up a story telling people he was the one that stoled from him, which is a complete crook of shit because he never stoled a damn thing for these guys he isn't that type of person.. Mel played this young mans addiction against him and made it look as if he was the good guy, which as an employer is completely illegal, so is paying full time workers under the table !! Then shortly afterwards had another guy that was working at the same time as the young man, made the older his partner and took him for over $20,000 and THEN started telling people he was the one that stoled from his trailer hahaha which he is getting sued for the $20+K.. I just want everyone to know these stories because Melvin Correa is a very nasty person that should be shut down and not be able to to work in construction anymore, he should also be investigated for fraud because nothing he does is legal in the business.. This man has been getting away with using people and steal from his employees for over 20 years.. From what I hear from the young man is Mels son, the owner of DNC is a good person though and only gets made look bad because of his father, if he was to cut his father out of the picture the company would be a very good but until that happens I do not suggest doing any type of business with them!!
