Its important to call out the working ways that this guy(Wellimar Oliviera aka Maza from Aguia Home Services) plays, so that other good customers dont have to deal with this kind of dishonesty. We hired Aguia home services because of his good reviews online, but later found a lot of half truths... 1 - He will start with giving an initial quote. After you like it there will be a phone discussion and in that he will later claim that he misunderstood & didn't include some things, so he needs to give you a revised quote. 2 - The contract copy will never be emailed for your records, he will stop by and provide printed contract copies for review & sign there itself. If you ask to leave the contract copy overnight to review the details, it will be refused claiming he needs to revise the contract anyways from todays discussion or something else. The contract text is written in poor english and can be easily misinterpreted in many ways to his advantage later such as making you buy any materials or charging extra for any situation. 3 - You will hear all the right things during initial contract paper discussion & about his work style, but his words and actions later don't match. Even after signing the contract, he will conveniently use the excuse of the customer had misunderstood expectations or customer didn't clearly specify his needs, so its the customers fault and will be charged extra. 4 - Maza will very frequently cut corners, buy cheap materials & boldly claim that he paid a lot of money & bought the expensive stuff or is the only best material available in market. Some materials will be sneakily used without your knowledge or if asked for information - he will say I don't remember, but its expensive & high quality. 5 - If you walk in to check work & point anything that is not done right, He can get loud & pretend upset or say it doesn't matter or not discussed before as part of work. He is very crafty at pushing customer back, so that he doesn't have to listen to every customer request. He can say wait till the end and when you ask at the end, he can say- the customer should have informed him before while work was in progress. 6 - If he hasn't done things the right way initially, he will never accept his fault or will say not possible & try to find fault in your work requests. He will consistently do lip service that he will do good job to quiet you down. He can conveniently forget any verbal agreement, will do what's easy for him and show his poor written contract for cover up. 7 - He will ask you the next payment even before he completely finishes the agreed phase with claims that he needs to pay his employees now or buy materials. There will be tricky clauses in the contract where he will have the owner buy & pay for certain materials & extra efforts. In the end he will end up buying extra or unrelated things and put it on the customers head. He will simply hand you a bunch of receipts with no review, pretend he is busy and demand payment of bills before he leaves for the day. 8 - He will send workers to do work at your site who will not sync up on your expectations- saying they know or told what to do. If you talk & correct them for things not being done as per your expectation while ongoing work- Mazza will later on make claims that you were giving instructions which leads to changing scope & extra cost. He uses this as a tactic to cover up his short cuts & negligent work. If you get into any disagreement, he can do a No-show at work for the next few days or threaten to stop the work or pull off the permit. Mazza aka Wellimar(50 yrs old) can & has expertise to do different home improvement work, but its about how you do the job! It is clear from his cheating finesse that he has well mastered these tricks over a period of time. The objective here is to put an stop to his dishonest ways by calling it out publicly & to protect other good families!

We recently hired Aquia Home Service to renovate our bathroom from severe water damage, and they did a great job! The new bathroom is absolutely beautiful — it’s now my favorite room in the house! :) There were a few unexpected obstacles on the way, but Wellimar went above and beyond to resolve the issues. Honest and hard-working, prompt, and completed the job within budget. I love our new bathroom! We’ll hire Aquia Home Services for future projects.
