Cape Cod Handymen Plus

Shawn showed up right after I returned his call and gave me a quote. We agreed on the work and date this needs to be done (as my family will be out on vacation) I will leave after 2 weeks to join the family. He agreed, wrote up a quote and I gave him $500 check. The date arrived and called him and said he was stuck at another job and he will start his work the next day. I kept calling him every day and he started not picking up the call. So two weeks of no response and no work done I went on vacation. Once I came back I called and said that was very irresponsible. I want the deposit to be returned and I was gonna find someone local as he lost my trust. he said OK. then I heard story about "He was sick" but will do that after he is back. Months have rolled on and contacted Porch customer service. To day he has been playing games telling the Porch Customer service that I breached the contract. I am gonna initiate a legal proceeding to get my money back and damages. I would say "No" to this dishonest guys any day. They don't realize that in this digital world Once you lose your customer's trust you cannot walk around complaining about bad customer. This is the handymen company at its worst. WATCH OUT! If possible I would give "0" starts if it allows.
