Imperial Gardens

Derek Hardie is an award winning landscape gardener who has had the opportunity to work on some of the most prestigious properties in London, England and the Dallas Area. Derek was formally trained by the Royal Horticultural Society in London, England. His achievements were recognized by London In Bloom in 2002 and 2004. Some of his properties included the former home of Sir Christopher Wren and Imperial War Museum which hosted distinguished guests including Queen Elizabeth II. He moved across the pond in 2005 where he took on a whole new method of landscaping. Working in southern New Mexico and far west Texas, Derek, has become an expert in a specialized water conserving methods of landscaping, called xeriscaping. When Derek was given a unique opportunity to become the lead foreman for one of DFW's most upscale landscape companies. The properties Derek was assigned to included some of the Dallas area's most affluent citizens . After years of experience working on some of the area's most beautiful properties, Derek decided it was time to start his own business. Derek has been the gardener for British Royalty, and Texas Royalty. At Imperial Gardens we want to give you and your garden the royal treatment.
