I did a local search for home repairs and contacted Eugene for a quote. The quote he provided was reasonable and I agree to purchase the materials and paid him the full amount of the proposal. The work was 95% completed with the finishing not done. I also lent Eugene my truck which he has not returned. It has been months not and he is not returning my phone calls, emails and I cannot find him at any of the addresses. Eugene, please return my truck.

Mr.Swift was recommended by a friend. My wife and I wanted a Florida/Sunroom. MR.Swift design as to the T as I described my vision. Turned out great. Very intoned to his craft. Would reccomend and use in the future.

Worst experience we’ve ever had, poor work at best, never on time, constantly making excuses, and defensive, and is now making threats to my family and threatened to put a lean on the house. This man is crazy! Please be careful. He is unlicensed and has a large criminal record, and he is seriously mental.

I did not properly vet Gene when I hired him for a tile flooring job in September 2018. He talked the talk and I was told that he could use a hand up, so I took a chance. What a mistake. The red flags should have started flying when he was supposed to start on Monday 9/24/18. He showed up late then gave my wife an excuse that he needed a machine to bust up the existing tile. Turns out that he was behind on another job, so he had to go back to it. The machine he needed to rent was in the neighboring county. This was his excuse for not showing up when he originally told us he would on Tuesday 9/25. When he finished demo and it was time to start laying tile, he did not lay out the flooring project, no dry fit, no chalk lines, not testing at all, which he told me he was going to. He cut the door jambs to high. The first 30 sf of tile had to ripped up, damaged tiles, inconsistent grout lines, and unlevel tiles. We gave him another chance and things looked promising although at this point we are using 1/2" of mortar and we still have a 1/4" gap in the door jambs. I have to try and inspect all his work because grout lines are not consistent and he keeps installing chipped or damaged tiles. We even worked with him so he "supposedly" rest his back, which was injured. Going into the third week he is asking for more money and has not even made it to the half way point. On top of that the work he has done is questionable, but you cant really see because of all the mortar on top of the tiles. Add that to the fact that he says he will be there at 8 or 9 and is consistently an hour late. The work site is a colossal mess and he has commingled his tools with mine. My new Holland Grill is covered with mortar. Because he set a 1/2 mortar bed, mortar cost is 2-3 times what it should have been. When you question him about it, he makes excuses. Hired a true professional based on full vetting and references. Not only are they less expensive, but they say the job should have taken a week and a half to complete. The new contractors are having to rip up a significant portion of Mr. Swift's work. Very bad experience, and very disappointed in the lack of professionalism. I usually don't leave reviews, but I don't want anyone else to have the same experience that we had.
