I don't write reviews (especially negative ones) lightly. But I feel compelled to review this company based entirely on a distressing and unprofessional number of exchanges, culminating in my hanging up on the owner of the company, Reed. Met me at the house. Very concise. Outlined the work. Sent by the company that did the repair that caused all the damage. Seemed like a done deal. Competitor showed up (as requested by the plumbing contractor) to assess and bid. They left, abruptly, and seemed rattled. At that point, Reed's demeanor changed. He disparaged the other company, became pushy to get me to sign a contract. I informed him that I needed to have contract reviewed by my attorney and requested a copy. He refused, saying it was "proprietary" and that all these "other little companies" were trying to steal his information, etc. Attorney reviewed, requested changes to protect me (THE HOMEOWNER) and was proceeding with the proper authorizations to begin the work. Reed contacted me and TOLD me that I would have to meet him this morning, at his convenience or (as he put it) "we are out." A little context. Yesterday, my doctor's office gave me a preliminary finding on an illness we believed is caused 100% due to exposure to tile and concrete dust. SO, I don't feel too well, wasn't in a position to rush out of the house to meet Reed. Reed proceeded to tell me (again, THE HOMEOWNER) how he has met with me, taken his time, assessed the home, written a contract, met with me again to sign the (unreviewed) contract, cancelled two appointments, etc. etc. etc. So, Reed's convenience in doing his job seems to (based on his little tirade) trump the legitimate needs and concerns of the homeowner. As he raised his voice to me, and indignantly informed me that "if I'm going to talk to him this way . . ." I proceeded to hang up. As I didn't curse, accuse or raise my voice to him, this seemed the nicest way I could proceed in the face of what I deem to be discourteous (if not rude) and unprofessional behavior. This is not the demeanor of someone I trust to step foot inside my home!
