Custom kitchen island top in Gold Tiger Eye A semi precious gemstone. Pattern: Irregular Brick with one inch high rows of mosaics of differing lengths. Size: 5 feet 2” x 8 feet 2 inches, 62 x 98 inches. Four inch eased flat edge. Total square footage: 42.2 This top is gemstone overlay on a custom honeycomb aluminum base with supports. This type of base was needed due to the 18 inch overhang for the bar along the long side. Project location: Ocean Springs, MS. There are 45 fish and turtles that swim around the pool perimeter. The art elements are handcut glass mosaic. The background is a custom 10mm glass mosaic blend. This oceanfront pool is located in Niguel Shores, Breakers Isle, in Dana Point, California. The custom artwork was created by Agape Tile LLC. The pool theme requested by the customer: Sunrise, Sunset. All glass is handcut glass smalto. The murals took six months to complete. There are over a million individual handcut glass mosaics. This custom kitchen features seamless Black Mother of Pearl shell sheets that cover the entire backsplash and wrap around the kitchen. The refrigerator is also trimmed out with shell. Random patterned sheets interlock at the edges for a seamless installation without grout joints. Our customer trimmed the kitchen with a small metal molding for a contemporary look. Award Winning Project - Detroit Home Magazine 2014 Awards: Second Place - Best Interior Use of Tile and Second Place for Best Fireplace: A joint effort with Teich Group of Saugatuck, MI and Agape Tile LLC. Original art by Oleg Stavrowsky. This wonderful handcut glass mural graces the front face of a fireplace in a Snowmass, Colorado private home. The art was created from an original oil painting entitled ‘Not tonight Sweetie, I have a Headache’ by famous Southwestern artist, Oleg Stavrowsky. The upper and lower sections of the artwork were created by our Art Department to fill in the space of the fireplace. The mural measures 105 5/8” high x 83 5/8” wide. Technique: Mixed, handcut glass.
