Ace Painting and Restoration Corp.

Ace Painting was hired to paint the exterior of my house, garage and the breezeway connecting the garage to the house.The house looks good, the breezeway looks really good, but the garage looks awful. Very little prep work was done to the garage other than to pick off the paint that was peeling. I was told where the paint was peeling the boards would be scraped and sanded. This wasn't done. When I called Ace about this and some other minor problems, the owner became rude and didn't want to hear about any problems. He repeatedly interrupted me saying he would send someone the next morning and I should tell him about any issues. The painter was supposed to be here at 8:30 the next morning but was more than an hour late. I showed him the problems and went back in the house. Within minutes the owner called yelling, wanting to know why I didn't tell him about the garage the day before. I had tried to tell him. He was extremely rude and never offered to come to the house to see what the garage looked like. He finally said he would have the painter scrape, sand and repaint the boards where the paint had been peeling. When I asked him why this wasn't done in the first place, I did not receive an answer. I had to leave and the painter was gone when I returned. The garage still looks bad. Only some of the boards were scraped and sanded. These don't look too bad. Other sections look worse. There are now dark blotches all across the top of the garage. I gave him a week, but the owner never called to see if I was satisfied with what was done. The contract also stated there would be two coats of paint. I saw them do the first coat and when they said they were finishing up, I asked about the second coat. The guy in charge said it was done. The first coat was sprayed on and the second coat was applied with rollers. I saw them using the sprayer but never saw them using rollers. I also had water sprayed through my front door, numerous nails left in the driveway, and the hose left with the water running for over an hour. I will not use this company again and absolutely will not recommend them to anybody.
