Pops and Chips was hired to repair a cracked bedroom ceiling and repair walls and paint said bedroom. We were quoted $600. for the job. Only to find out the night prior, the estimate did not include 3 gallons of paint when we inquired about the cost. While the ceiling was corrected to satisfaction as agreed upon, the painted walls of the bedroom clearly needed an additional coat. On every wall, in multiple small and large areas, remained previous color wall paint from the simple fact insufficient paint was used and improperly applied. As well as improper time allowed to dry according to the owner Ken. A voice mail message was left on Kens cell phone the following morning. Specifically indicating there are issues with the painting. A second call was placed that evening and Ken answered the phone. Upon telling Ken a message was left earlier in the day, Ken responded, “Well, you got me on the phone now. What do you need?” After describing the issues and concerns with Ken, numerous excuses were given such as the dark paint we chose and indicated two coats were used. Although only one can of paint was used. Ken directed us to send pictures via text and he would forward them on to his painter. Three hours later, Ken responded with the excuse, “Anytime you have a drastic color change like that it causes problems.” We explained our frustration with the lack of quality from a business who calls themselves “first class custom painting” as well as having to pay the cost for paint when it wasn’t even used. We then asked to have the bedroom repainted using an additional coat of paint. Ken responded with “probably Tuesday.” On Monday, a text was sent to Ken at approximately 12:00 pm attempting to confirm a successful completion of paid job and time on Tuesday. As of 7:45pm, another text was sent to Ken since he had not responded. I contacted Ken with the intent to ask for a $100.00 refund to contribute to the $33.00 we spent on paint not used as well as a $70.00 courtesy refund as we will now be finishing the painting ourselves. I indicated, furniture had already been moved back in the bedroom that evening and now requires us to take apart and remove said furniture once again. Ken responded with “it took 2 cans...paint aint cheap...neither are painters.” Paying for paint is not the issue. Paying for paint that is not used is another. Ken was downright unprofessional, rude, arrogant, and refused to handle this respectfully and professionally as a business owner. It was if they were paid for a job and could care less of the satisfaction of the customer. In the end, we didn’t want this individual or his crew in our home as we felt we could not trust Ken, nor did we want the stress of having to deal with Kens attitude and nasty demeanor. Save your money and hire a professional.

We have porches and decks which wrap around the majority of our house. The porch and railing columns have a unique design which make them a pain to paint. We have had several painters work on them over the years with disappointing results. Pops and Chip’s came highly recommended on Porch.com and on a local Facebook forum. After the painting of our Porch Columns we would enthusiastically recommend them for any project. They were meticulous in their work. Everyone was professional, courteous and pleasant to work with. The job was phenomenal and beautiful. We would give 10 Stars ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ if we could.

We have had to hire multiple contractors recently for various jobs and let me tell you that working with Pops and Chip's was a breath of fresh air. They were very professional and showed up on time when they said they would be there. Their price was very competitive but really it was their finished product that placed smiles on our faces. I am so happy to have found someone I know I can call upon at anytime and feel confident that I will receive a top notch job for a fair price.

Reasonable quote for specific job requested. Need additional work done but like how they do one at a time as not to take on more than they can. Seem to work between multiple people projects but manage time efficiently.
