Tag Line My philosophy is to work from the "Inside Out" to start with the views and orientation, then figure out how it will look from the outside. Many architects start from elevations that are an image that has no relationship to how the user will use the space. There are many pieces to this puzzle of how to put together a house, many layers of questions of how the space should be used. It is a matter of asking the right questions to get the best solution for the particular end user. Specialties Outside the box thinker & problem solver-no site too difficult! Working with the client to make the best solution is a bit of psycology and philosophy. Women make the best home designers, as they look at how the house is used from a different perspective.

Island Drive | Mar 2010 | The stairway up to the front door was narrow and steep. A new stairway was designed that was wider with direct access off the driveway and the front door was moved to create a more gracious entryway with a front entry hall. The kitchen was moved and remodeled with cherry cabinets. | Friday Harbor, WA | ||
Otter Lane | Jan 2008 | The lot for this house was deemed "un-buildable", as the shoreline setbacks were so tight that the widest part available to build was 25 feet. Un-duanted and in love with the site, the owners had faith that something could be designed that would work! The house steps within the setbacks and each of the 3 bedrooms has a water view. | Friday Harbor, WA |
