Mr. Woody Stokes of South Wake HVAC came to my rescue on Friday, 03/04/2016 due to my heating unit copper coil had bursted in my attic. I had substantial water damage through the ceiling of (3) rooms due to the safety floater device failed. Mr. Stokes gave me options to replace the 19 year old heating coil but it was no longer available since 2003. Then,he gave me an option to replace part of the unit (heating first) and the AC unit later with excellent price quotes. Or I could just replace the entire unit right now at a very reasonable price. I opted to replace all of it, including the compressor outside for a very good price. Other companies had offered quotes for $1000 to $2000 more than South Wake HVAC's price so I was very pleased with his prices per options. He was very professional at all times as well as very neat with his removal and installation work, too. I highly recommend Mr. Woody Stokes and his company, South Wake HVAC out of Fuquay-Varina, NC as he does outstanding and honest work!

Small Attic Space Hydronic Air Handler Replacement | Mar 2016 | Hydronic Air Handler removed and new ADP air handler installed including the new evaporator coil. We also made a the new emergency overflow pan and all the safety interlocks to keep the customers home from being damaged again. The evaprotor coil was matched to a new outdoor unit from Goodman. There was hardly any working room in this attic space but South Wake HVAC is very determined. We also added safety devices that will shut down power to the system if water gets in the overflow pan. We strive to give the customer quailty workmanship even when the space is small and it takes us a bit longer we won't quit. #hvac #hvaclife #hvachacks #hvacisnotforwussies | $4k | Raleigh, NC
Power Surge Problems | Feb 2016 | Had a no heat call this past week and after troubleshooting we found the customer had experienced a power surge. No lighting, no bad weather just a surge of power which can come from external or internal sources. The customer had more than $2000 dollars worth of electronics including TV, Microwave, Cable, Modem, and electronic board in his air handler. Just think how much stuff we have in our homes that have these types of electronic boards in them.Needless to say that the cost of a quality Surge Protector may help eliminate this issue in the future. If you are interested in making your home better prepared for power surges call South Wake HVAC. | $350 | Fuquay Varina, NC
Strange Noise In Wall | Jun 2016 | Customer complaint of vibration noise when the air conditioner was running especially in the front room. Arrived and found that the original installer had mounted the refrigerant lines with plumbers metal strapping which caused the vibrations. Re-routed refrigerant lines and installed line-set cover. Started the air condition system after refrigerant line works. | $900 | Apex, NC
Clayton Installation | Apr 2016 | Installed roof mounted attic exhaust fan in walk up attic. Also added new 8" supply duct work to the walk up room. The supply duct work was installed with a volume damper and the flexible duct work has R-8 insulation. This work is to help the homeowners condition a room that has been hard to cool down. | $1k | Clayton, NC
Craned Unit | Jan 2016 | This was an unusual case...the home owner let the shrubs overtake their gas/electric packaged unit. After performing some heavy troubleshooting, I found several failures including heat exchanger, combustion air motor and housing. Most likely, excessively damp environment caused the system to fail earlier than it should have. Either way, after discussing options with the home owner, he elected to replace the unit instead of repair. We had to trim shrubs before we could remove the old system. Also, the location was not accessible from his yard. There was aluminum fencing, a giant hedge row and the side of his house was very elevated. We called in a crane to do all of the heavy lifting. South Wake HVAC can make things happen! We can certainly get it done the RIGHT way! Now we have some happy new customers that are bragging to all their neighbors. | $6k | Raleigh, NC |
