My wife and I had Eddie and his team complete our basement renovation in our new home. Eddie showed complete professionalism throughout the project from the initial quote until job completion. Eddie listened to our ideas, made cost saving suggestions, and came up with a plan that met all our desires. Eddie's team completed everything from framing, drywall, tile, cabinetry, plumbing, electrical, flooring, and painting. At any point we were not completely satisfied with the results (only once) the work was redone, without question and at no additional expense to us. The final results not only met but exceeded our expectations! We could not be happier with our finished basement!!! We did a master bathroom renovation. Eddie did a great job of providing guidance and direction. After the work began, he kept things on track and kept us informed. When we had a problem with part of the project, he took immediate action to fix the problem and make things right. Great guy. Easy to work with.

When you contract with Douglas Residential Renovations you better hold onto your wallet. Eddie Douglas doesn’t abide by his word or the contract. Let me give you my experience. On 7/12/2016 we contracted with DRR to turn a screened in porch into a sunroom, replacing screens with windows. The first example of his arrogance came a few days later when he called several times and chastised us for not responding to his phone calls/texts to set up a visit for the A/C guy for installation of the mini split. We did call him back the next day but we could not accommodate the day he wanted to come because we were going to be out of town. The next thing that occurred was the electrician came and worked all day running the line for the mini split but some time during the pm he needed help and called for his helper to come. Some how on entering the young man made some off hand comment and I just stated that I didn’t appreciate any joking around. I had no problem with the electrician I believed he did a professional job. Later that day Eddie called to state that both of the young men he would trust in his own home. The next occurrence came When the windows were due to be delivered and we got a call from Eddie at the end of 8/5/2016 that the wrong windows were delivered and he would have to reorder and put a rush on them. A day or so later we called Eddie and requested when he was going to come to the house and wash the interior walls and ceiling as stated in his proposal of 7/6/2016. He didn’t respond to our first call so a second was made which he still did not pick up. Later that day a very angry phone call comes in from Eddie stating we are harassing him and he was not going to clean the mold on the ceiling but just paint over it. Subsequent to that phone call and not very happy about it we started cleaning the interior of the porch and removing the screens ourselves because we thought we didn’t like the way he was treating us but we would do everything to allow him to complete his job as fast as possible, yet we were willing to let him complete the job. On 8/15/2016 after 4pm Eddie delivers the windows and takes me outside and says his gut is telling him that he could never satisfy us and that he is breaking the contract. He says he will give me a check for my deposit and invoices for the work performed that I will have to pay for. He said he could mail them or deliver them to me the next day. I asked him to hand them to me the next day. Today 8/16/2016 he gives me a check for what he says is left. I still have not seen the invoice for the windows from the vendor, pardon me for not believing Eddie on what they cost. When I spoke to him on the phone he seemed to remember that the cost about $2800. Yet my bill from him is $3260. Please be aware of Eddie Douglas. This man does not have the integrity to be a vendor recommended by Home Depot or the Better Business Bureau.
