Mr. Rooter Plumbing of Wake County

I was charged $450 for 15 minutes work to replace a 4" long section of drainpipe. The Technician got purple primer on my walls and floor, which he said would not come out. After 10 minutes he told me we were good to go, he was ready to leave and I asked my wife to run the water from upstairs. It leaked. why would he not ask to check? Then he came back with rubber cement and was going simply put rubber cement on the outside of the joint, which is what my wife rightly called a "rinky dink" way to do it. I asked him if the correct way was to made sure the whole joint was properly sealed. He agreed to do the repair the correct way after I challenged him. He ended up putting a hose clamp and rubber boot over the joint. I don't know if this is a good repair long term or not. At least it does not leak. The Technician was a nice fellow, but made a mess, did a bad job, tried to leave before testing, then tried to fix his mistake in a way that would not have lasted. VERY BAD....Imagine if I was not checking the pipe would still be leaking. DO NOT RECOMMEND - CALL SOMEONE ELSE!
