My name is Ronald Cruse, owner and operator of A & R Garage Door. My passion for the community starts with my involvement with a local homeless ministry and expands into providing quality garage door services to Phoenix communities. I started in the garage door repair industry 14 years ago from the ground floor - literally, I started with a broom, sweeping floors. Learning the ropes, I understood the key to growth was building relationships and gaining word of mouth business. Since I started my own garage door company in 2004, I have operated the same way: I answer the phone, I troubleshoot and fulfill the services. This is what my customers like and it's what they tell their friends and family about. See our reviews below. We have over 50 positive reviews and "A" ratings with the BBB and Angie's List. In an industry overshadowed with shady sales tactics, people are willing to become a loyal customer because of relationship, but more to the point, because they are not willing to roll the dice on a new garage door company. When you hire my company, there is no sub-contractors or runarounds; I will be there when I say I will and you'll get a price that is below most of my competitors.

Storm Damaged Garage Door Repair | Apr 2015 | This custom three car garage door in Scottsdale, AZ was beginning to show water damage due to storms over the past few years. Real wood garage doors certainly add to the home's exterior. However, the downside: real wood doors require on-going maintenance and are more susceptible to mother natures wrath. In this case, the bottom panels of the garage door were in the worst shape due to water collecting near the bottom of the door. Replacing the entire garage door was not necessary. We were able to replace only the bottom panels of the garage door. This allowed the homeowner to avoid ordering and installing a new garage door; saving thousands of dollars. With a new bottom panel the garage door looked almost as good as new. | $2k | Scottsdale, AZ

They wanted to stick with a standard garage door and the same garage door opener they were already used to. Therefore we ordered a standard garage door and Liftmaster garage door opener. The installation took about 4 hours. | $1k | Phoenix, AZ

Rusted Custom Garage Door Installation Peoria | Oct 2014 | We install many custom garage doors. Of all the custom doors we install, the rusted garage door is one of my favorites. Maybe its because so many garage doors are designed to be resistant to rust or maybe its just because I love the way the door can add such contrast to provide a rustic, or even modern feel. These days, exterior home designs are no longer centered around the front porch front porches are practically extinct if it wasnt for my profession, I would say its a tragedy. Garage doors cover a large square footage of a homes exterior. The correct garage door can add a pop and character, giving your home the curb appeal you desire. Rusted garage doors can provide a rich and old southwestern feel. All the while, they are versatile enough to be used in a modern setting. Oxidized metal, rusted garage doors look especially sharp on adobe, Mediterranean or Spanish type homes. For this project, we installed this custom metal rustic, rusted 97 double insulated garage door. Metal rustic, rusted garage door try saying that five times fast This installation we completed in the Arrowhead Ranch area of Peoria, AZ was unique. It called for a great looking rusted door but also a side mount opener and high lift to save space inside the garage. High Lift Garage Doors Installing a high lift garage door allowed us to maximize the space inside the garage. Instead of the garage door rising about 12 inches and then turning; this door goes up about three feet and then makes its turn. This freed up the space, which would have been lost with a standard overhead door. 8550 Side Mount Garage Door Opener Using the side mount garage door opener allowed us to work around the high ceiling. As you can see the garage door opener is mounted to the left side of the garage door. These garage door openers are often referred to as jackshaft openers. Another benefit of a side mount opener is the simplicity of opening the garage door manually. Side mount garage door openers are often installed in commercial settings, not as much in residential; another reason this custom Peoria install was so unique. We enjoyed this project and the homeowner rated us 10 out of 10 in a follow up customer satisfaction survey. We look forward to improving the look of many other homes in Peoria and the Metro Phoenix area through our custom garage doors and garage door parts. Ultra Modern Garage Door Installation | Oct 2014 | This project called for a garage door that would fit the modern ambiance of the home. This was a fun installation that allowed us to design and install a garage door that added the desired curb appeal to this Camelback home. The design of this garage door challenged us to develop a custom door the we never created before. By replacing the four vertical garage door panels, on the far side of the garage door, we were able to produce a modern effect. This was a simple and affordable approach to achieve a custom and modern look. The functional benefit of this door starts with the frosted window panels. They allow natural light into the garage while still maintaining the required privacy. This door is guaranteed to turn heads; needless to say, the homeowner was very happy with his new custom garage door.
