Bad expereince! I was quoted a price for 2 services: a light resurface of my concrete deck for $4100 and a stain and sealer on top of it for $2800. When the job was finished, it looked fine and paid in full for the project. A few days later it began raining and rained on and off for 4-5 days. When the deck finally dried up, it looked much worse than it had before the work was done. Duane agreed than the surface did not come out the way he expected and that it needed to be redone. Since it became too late in the season for Duane to redo the stain and sealer, I asked him to refund the $2800 I had paid for the portion of the work. He refused, saying he would come redo it in the spring. I asked him why he thought I should 1. let him use $2800 of my money over the winter and 2. trust him to return to complete the job satisfactorily. He got mad and now I'm going to take him to small claims court to get a refund for the unacceptable work he did.

Stamp Concrete | Jul 2010 | Stamp Concrete cost can vary by large margins. The things that add to the cost are similar to normal concrete jobs. The accessibility of the job and how will you be bringing in the concrete, but the aspect of colors and what color you will use adds a substantial amount of money to the costs and certain colors will cost much more than others and if you will be using more than 1 color. | $10k | Glenwood Springs, CO
Basement Waterproofing | May 2017 | The home was built in the late 60's and was constructed w/CMU or block foundation walls. The house had a band aid fix w/ an interior foundation wall paint to help keep it sealed. Also, they added a french drain to the wall that had the most water bleeding into the basement. But this damaged the wall more and the block was holding water. The basement had visible mold / mildew with a dampness smell to it. Besides the one wall with the french drain none of the other walls had footer tile. The excavation and waterproofing was to replace footer tile w/sch 35 4" perf and clean outs on the corners to keep the pipe from ever being full of debris with camera access. Also, plumb the downspouts and run those into the dry well, but on a separate system using sch 35 solid. The footer tile and down spouts were all plumbed into a 6" lateral line we engineered. We then ran the lateral into a dry well For the wall itself we sealed it w/an under ground use mortar and foundation coating w/a cove at the point of wall/footer.. The back fill was a filter stone that will not bind over time and allows water to travel through freely and the top 24" was a clay heavy soil and this was used to divert water at the surface and to construct a pitch at minimum of 6' from the foundation and 10% . The grade was addressed continuing with sloping away from the foundation we needed to put in a valley to direct water that now we were moving away from the home. | Glenwood Springs, CO
Resurface/ Stained Concrete | Feb 2015 | Concrete resurfacer is a poly-cementous material that is used to add a thin layer over older concrete that has no surface to it and is showing steel or stone as the surface in its current state. The resurfacer in many instances is stained once it is leveled and brought to a condition that looks better than when the day it was originally poured. The one job I am posting is a rust colored stain, but this job was done in multiple stages. We had a end goal of a stained patio and a patio that was neglected over the years to begin with plus a patio that was to small to entertain on. The first stage was to add enough square foot to be able to use it. Then resurface the old plus the new section to have the same color in the end. The grey interior stain is just amazing on the end result. When it comes to stain the sky is the limit. | Glenwood Springs, CO
Brick work | Dec 2005 | The home had an existing water shed which had to be addressed before any work could be done. We moved 100 + yards of material and used rip wrap on the hill side and pitched drive accordingly. | Green Valley, AZ |
