Image Design, LLC is an national award winning sustainable/organic residential design firm located in Grand Rapids Michigan. We specialize in designing new homes, cottages, remodels, additions and developments and can create a custom home that is suited to your individual lifestyle and the unique nature of your site. We believe that design is a collaborative process involving the skills of owner, designer and builder. We are strong advocates of Sustainable Design principles, Lifetime Design principles and the Not So Big House principles and are one of the few design firms actively promoting these progressive standards in home design. We believe in the very near future, green design will be the standard by which all other designs will be measured. We are excited to be at the forefront of this growing movement. We offer over 24 years of residential design experience. All of our plans are created using the latest cad technologies which allows us to create high quality and extensively detailed construction documents. We have experience with many different sustainable construction methods such as Advanced framing, Insulated concrete forms (ICF's), Superior wall foundations, Structural insulated panels (SIP's), Earth bermed, Light Clay Straw, Passive and Active solar designed homes. Our designs have been published locally and nationally and have been built thru-out Michigan and as far away as New York. We are actively learning new methods of sustainable construction every chance we can, so we can share them with you. We have many new project seeking new green building standards such as Passive House, Living Building Challenge and Michigan's new Mi GreenStar green remodeling certification.
