Jim Rhoads promised to repair the corner of the roof on my rental property, he quoted me 600.00 and said he would start work within 2 weeks. I paid him in full. That was September 2016. After a million excuses November he covered the area with a tarp, stating he would do it in the Spring. In April he contacts me wanting more money, claiming it was going to cost more that he thought! I said absolutely not just give me my money back if that's the case. He backpedals and says ok he will do it for what he quoted. Another 2 months go by NOTHING. My husband contacts him, whereby he cursed and threatened my husband. I immediately contact him and tell him to refund my money NOW that we do not want him on our property! He said the only option was to let him do the job and that he would not give me my money back. I contacted Thumbtack services where I originally found Mr. Rhoads and persuaded contact between Jim and I. He agreed to pay me 500.00 if what he owed and he would be paying me at the end of he week. That was the end of June. It is July 13 and still no money. Thumbtack has suspended Jim until he pays me. Mr. Rhoads has been dishonest since day one and now I have to go to the trouble of contacting the BBB, the licensing board and his other employers AND file a lawsuit!!
