- Removal and disposal of the existing roofing materials (1 Layer) - Installation of any necessary bad plywood decking - Application of extra strong waterproofing felt (Rhino Roof Synthetic Felt) - Application of new metal edging (Similar in color) - Install new galvanized metal in the valleys (California Style, non exposed cut) - Replace the pipe boot flashings with new storm collars - Installation of IKO Storm-shield Ice and Water Shield in the valleys, around any roof protrusions, chimney, wall flashings, and along the eaves three feet high - Properly flash the existing chimney removing the vinyl siding if necessary - Cover the existing nine box style vents with plywood - Installation of Shinglevent II Ridge Ventilation on the entire ridge peak - Inspect bath exhaust ventilation for problems & install flapper vent if needed - Application of new shingles per manufacturers specifications with 6 nails per shingle and pre-formed starter shingles along the bottom row Note: This includes your color choice of a Limited Lifetime Warranty shingle. (Our selection includes: IKO Cambridge AR, Malarkey Highlander, Atlas Pinnacle, GAF Timberline, (Natural Shadow) & Tamko Heritage. Most major shingle manufacturers have recently upgraded the 30 year shingle to a "Limited Lifetime." Most sample boards can be viewed at ABC Supply Company, located at 1838 Velp Avenue. - Clean & secure all existing gutters, removing all debris DETAILED Clean-Up - All of the existing shingles are placed into an on-site trailer upon removal. Tarps are used to keep debris off bushes, flowers and other landscaping - Ground is raked, and a magnetic roller is used twice to pick up loose nails
