Mike Forsyth is a liar, he's unprofessional and a thief. I found Mike on television (Better Call Harry Channel 46) asking for help to receive unemployment benefits and looking for work. After hearing his story I thought it would be a good thing to extend an opportunity to someone who needed and was looking for work. Covid has hit so many really hard so we all must do what we can when we can. After having Mike provide an estimate for some work at my parents home we agreed on a price and he was to order the materials needed and I was to pay for them. When it was time to for me to pay for the material I found it a little odd that Mike was very hesitate about forwarding the material list to me for review. He said he wanted to place the order himself. A fe days later he called from Home Depot's pro desk saying my materials would cost more because the price of lumber had gone up and that he had forgotten to add a delivery charge. When I asked what had change he could not explain and something did not sound right. I asked him for the materials list again and he sent really blurry pictures and said something was wrong with is phone.... So I called the Pro desk directly and got a copy of the list only to see that he had added more materials to my job.... much more. More as in enough for another job depending on its size. What Mike did not know is that I know construction and I have resources that know construction he was BUSTED for padding the material list. When I asked him about the extra materials he offered no explanation only said "I can just give you back your deposit" And to this day I dont have it all. What he didnt expect was for me to take him up on it. There has been excuse after excuse. I paid him through Zelle which was immediate. First he said he could only send 500.00 a day so that would mean I should have my deposit back in 4 days its been weeks. His behavior left no doubt that that he'd spent the money. I told him if he did not have the money just say so but instead he sent me a text telling me that it would be another 10 days before I would get any money and I quote "He didn't want to hear SHIT from me about it taking 10 days" Yes you've read that correctly he actually texted that to a customer. A few days later I asked Mike again for the balance of my money and he texted to me "KISS MY ASS" He said that I was like "all women" and that I was "bossing him". Why this man thinks me asking for my money back AFTER he was caught lying and padding a materials list in an attempt to get me to pay for another job is bossing him is beyond me. I have no doubt this isn't his first time. I should have been more thorough when vetting him and read his other reviews BEFORE I contacting him. He has more negative reviews than positive on various websites. I posted a reviews on other platforms with copies of his vile text messages and apparently Mr. Forsyth read them and has reach out to me via text several times. He has threatened to sue me, called me a dark piece of sh*t, the devil and a black bi*ch. Its funny how when the person who conducted himself in the worse manner gets angry when he is exposed and held accountable. Hopefully this review will help someone else. CONSUMER BEWARE
