What an absolutely sweet guy! Bert called me back twice outside of his listed hours to talk me through diagnostics on a failed refrigerator. Rather than charge us a service call just to determine it was a problem he couldn't work on, he spent a good 15-20 minutes on the phone with me explaining what the common problems might be, and how to assess whether it was a problem in the refrigerant closed system, which he does not work on. The bad news for us was that this turned out to be the case. But we were able to determine that with his guidance over the phone and for no cost. I will definitely call him again.

He came to the house and got the washer's stuck door to open so we could get the wet cloths out. He said it needed parts or it would continue to happen. We paid him while he was at the house. He said he would get back with a quote for the repair indicating, however, that it might not be worth doing. That was over two months ago. We called him and left messages with, over time, increasing frequency hoping he would get the picture and put some priority on getting back to us. He never did return the calls. In summery, he took our money and never finished the job. We have been without a washer for over two months and don't know whether to fix or replace the one we have. Getting the money and not responding seems to be a feature of other negative reviews as well.
