Kitchen Backsplash Adds Polish (Pooler, GA)

May 2016

The homeowner wanted to give their kitchen a more completed look, along with some more functionality, so we installed a lovely backsplash using porcelain tile, cut and inlaid in a simple pattern to add visual interest without being overpowering. This was a quick, economical job that added value, function and beauty to the kitchen.

Hip Downtown Apartment - Carpet Repair and New Bathroom Vanity

Nov 2015

At Old South Flooring & Tile, no project is too big or too small. We had the pleasure of repairing a bit of carpeting and creating a new vanity in a cozy, charming downtown Savannah apartment. We ripped up and installed new carpeting on a stairway and fabricated a new vanity top with wood, hardibacker and tile in a matter of hours. Additionally, although we discovered that there was much more extensive damage to the vanity than the homeowner initially thought, we were still able to come up with a workable, durable and attractive solution on the spot. We also made sure that the homeowner didn't have to worry about extra, costly repairs. We were proud to have completed the project flawlessly and quickly so that the homeowner didn't have to deal with a massive disruption in their daily life.

Kensington Park Bathroom Remodel (Savannah, GA)

Oct 2015

This was a full guest bathroom remodel in a lovely Kensington Park home. We tore out all of the existing tile (wall, floor, tub surround) as well as the wainscoting. We then installed all new decorative floor tile along with chic, white subway tiles on the walls and a gorgeous new tub surround. Of course, we replaced the old tub and all the necessary plumbing work to go along with it. In addition, we installed a lovely new vanity and replaced an old window to give the entire bathroom a facelift. To round it all off, we replaced and painted the wainscoting. We were able to complete the project beautifully, despite a very tight timeframe as well as a few structural issues that we only discovered once we had completed the initial tear out. Thankfully, our partner Joe is the consummate professional and loves to problem-solve. He also happens to know a thing or two about all things construction, although his passion and expertise lies in tile and flooring. All in all, we were particularly proud of this project and the final result.

Whole Home/New Construction (Savannah, GA)

Sep 2015

For this project, we were tasked with installing all of the flooring as well as all of the tile work for the home. The home itself was a gorgeous 3000+ sq. ft, 4 bedroom, 2 1/2 bath structure in the beautiful, gated Landings community. A majority of the home was laid with hardwood, with porcelain tile in the kitchen, bathroom and laundry rooms, and carpet on the stairs and in the bedrooms. The master bathroom included inlaid decorative tile, complete with inset niche and seat. Although there wasn't initially deco in the plans, we were able to include it, at no additional cost whatsoever, after looking at the materials that were already available. This added to the overall aesthetic of the bathroom and added value to the home. While the bathrooms featured warm neutrals, we installed a cooler toned marble back splash throughout the kitchen to match the countertops and appliances.
