University City Basement In progress | Aug 2014 | This basement consists of approximately 600Square feet being made into usable livings space. The conditions of the basement started out as a typical 100 year old basement. The floors were the 1'' thick concrete pad you typically see in Philadelphia . The homeowner "hates carpet" so we ended pouring over 2000 lbs of concrete and floor leveler to allow for the installation of a floating laminate floor. There was also an existing powder room which was converted to a full bath. This project consisted of framing approximately 150 linear feet of walls and framing /leveling a mess of a ceiling to allow drywall to be installed. The budget did not allow enough to re-route the existing radiator pipes, so we incorporated them into the modern design of this new living space. This project is expected to be completed by 9/1/2014. | $20k | Philadelphia, PA | |
