I highly recommend Derek’s Handy Service. He completed a big remodel on my Tyler home. New kitchen cabinets, counter tops, subway tile on the walls from floor to ceiling, moved my laundry from the kitchen to the hall closet, took down a closet wall and added a shower to the master bathroom, fixed old damage to my ceiling, put tile in the master bathroom and an outside office and so much more. He was always there with a “YES” when I added something else to the list of things I wanted to get done. His crew were polite and professional. The price quoted was below market and we had cost over runs, but some of this was from me adding projects. In the end the total cost was still at least 30% below what it would have cost me with other estimates I had received. I would hire this company again. Thanks again Derek for my beautiful home.

I found Derek on Porch.com and he was able to give me a very fair bid on putting up a chain length fence and reconstructing our brick fireplace. He was great about getting all the materials needed and getting the job done in a timely fashion. The brick fireplace he built was done exactly how we wanted it with a beautiful German Smear (mortar wash) finish. He worked hard to get it done before we moved into the house having to battle against some rainy days which made the job harder. He is very honest and trustworthy and I would recommend him to anyone that needs work done at their house.

My wife found Derek's Handy Service here on Porch.com and had him bid on a job in Ore City, Texas. We liked his bid and he did the work for us. He kept bid to original price, kept time to original period, and did a Great Job. I believe that a true referral is whether you would bring the contractor back. We did! He performed the work requested and once again kept his word on time, cost and workmanship. I will give Derek's Handy Service 5 stars because he earned it!

Derek did several handyman services around my house including plumbing and electrical. The work was done quickly and efficiently at a reasonable price. He is also time conscience and calls if he is running late; I appreciate that because some don't call or show up at all. Derek is also working with my adjuster since he noticed damage on my roof when he was cleaning leaves out of the valley. With his expertise, I will probably get a new roof. Derek is polite and explains the charges. I would recommend him.
