Definity Landscape Group is backed by many years of experience in the landscape industry. We believe that in order to provide the best service and quality craftsmanship in the market, we must continually educate ourselves about the most current industry practices and standards. In addition to holding a Class A Contractors license, we are certified by the Interlocking Concrete Paver Institute and National Concrete Masonry Association to build paver patios and segmental walls according to the highest industry standards. We are also a Virginia Certified Horticulturalist Owner Shawn's experience in the Landscape and Hardscape industry spans over 20 years here in the Richmond area. He grew up in the Richmond area working in a family owned landscape business, designing and installing both residential and commercial projects. His background is strong in customer service and design/build projects. As the 'Owner Operator' Shawn enjoys working one on one with customers to provide a creative and real life design solution, followed by a quality installation of the design. He is an accomplished VCH (Virginia Certified Horticulturist), ICPI Certified Installer (Interlocking Concrete Paver Institute), PICP Qualified Installer (Permeable Interlocking Concrete Pavement), NCMA Certified Installer (National Concrete Masonry Association), and Advanced Allan Block Certification for large scale Segmental Retaining Wall Applications.

Ashland - Sunken Patio | Sep 2014 | Definity worked with the client to come up with a recessed interlocking paver patio design that would provide more usable outdoor spaces. This design created 3 separate areas, 1. A circular detached wood burning fire pit 2. An area covered by a custom built pergola 3. An area covered by an existing roof of the home. The need for this project was to replace a diseased hedge row of Leyland Cypress trees that were originally planted years ago to provide a buffer between the two adjoining properties.
